Concord Dedicates New Electric Systems Operations Center

This week, the City of Concord dedicated the new state-of-the-art Electric Systems Operations Center to Former Council Member Ella Mae P. Small.

Former Council Member Ella Mae Small has dedicated her life to improving the quality of life of everyone in Concord. She was an educator for over 40 years and was the first woman to serve on our City Council, serving from 2006 to 2021. From education to public service, Mrs. Small is a beacon of light for our community.

In her honor, the home of Concord Electric Systems will be known as the Ella Mae P. Small Electric Systems Operations Center.

Team Concord Wraps Up

Women's History Month

During the month of March, Team Concord honored Women's History Month by celebrating the women who keep our city running, day in and day out by sharing a video series featuring some of the women who serve our city in non-traditional roles.

In our last video of the series, we highlighted some of Team Concord's women in public safety who serve and protect to keep our city safe.

We’re proud of all the women who serve our city on a daily basis and thank you for following along this month as we shared some of their stories!
