Monthly Memo from the City Manager
The holiday season is here! It is the most festive and spirited time within the City of Temecula. Our hometown pride is shining bright with lights all around the City including the Duck Pond, the Promenade Temecula mall, many shopping centers, and especially in the heart of Old Town.
 
Further in my email, you will find detailed information about many family-friendly events and activities the City is working hard to bring to you throughout December. A brief schedule is below:
 
FRIDAY, DEC. 3, 2021, 7pm; Santa’s Electric Light Parade – New Route on Jefferson Avenue
 
FRIDAY, DEC. 10, 2021, 5pm; Temecula On Ice "Grand Opening" @ Main Street in Old Town (the ice skating rink will remain open through Jan. 2, 2022)
 
SATURDAY, DEC. 18, 2021, 12pm-8pm; NEW: Chilled In The Park @ Ronald Reagan Sports Park
 
FRIDAY, DEC. 31, 2021, 6pm-12am (Grape Drop will be at 9pm & Midnight); New Year’s Eve Grape Drop @ Civic Center (City Hall)

Santa's Electric Light Parade
Date: Friday, December 3, 2021
Time: 7pm

The parade will begin at 7pm at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue & Del Rio Road. Be sure to bring your blankets and chairs.


Santa Claus is Coming to Old Town!

Visit Santa in Old Town in-between Pennypickle's Workshop (42081 Main Street) and The Merc (42051 Main Street).

Temecula On Ice

Ice skate outside in Old Town! Temecula On Ice is scheduled to return for another exciting holiday season.

Location: Town Square Park, 41000 Main Street, Temecula

Grand Opening Show & Celebration: Fri., Dec. 10, 2021 at 5pm

Rink Dates: December 9, 2021-January 2, 2022

Daily Rink Hours: Sunday-Thursday:10am-9:30pm and Friday-Saturday:10am-11pm

Holiday Rink Hours: Christmas Day, 12pm-9pm; New Year’s Eve Skating Session, 10pm-12:30am

Chilled in the Park (with Fireworks)

Join us for Chilled in the Park! This event will feature magical entertainment, an ugly sweater contest, kids zone, and food vendors. Stay until the end to enjoy a festive fireworks display that begins at 7:45pm.

Twas the Lights Before Christmas
Decorating Display!

Are you decorating your home with extravagant lights or festive inflatables? If so, you can apply to be part of the City's Twas the Lights Before Christmas Home Decorating Display. The deadline to enter is December 3, 2021. A map of all of the homes will be published online for residents to enjoy. Apply Here.
New Year’s Eve Grape Drop

Ring in the new year Temecula-style with the City of Temecula's infamous Grape Drop! Celebrate 2022 twice with an East Coast (9pm) and West Coast (midnight) countdown. The New Year’s Eve Grape Drop will include live music, food vendors, and activities for kids. A free "Fun Zone" will be open from 6pm-10pm.
