City of St. Helena Launches New Website

The City of St. Helena is pleased to announce the launch of our new website. The interactive website is designed to enhance accessibility, provide more services, be mobile responsive, and provide more comprehensive information to the community.

“We are committed to ensuring access to meaningful and comprehensive information and improving government efficiency,” said St. Helena Mayor Paul Dohring. “We have revamped the City’s website to create a more user-friendly experience, to improve ease of navigation, and to offer a wealth of resources to meet the diverse needs of our residents, businesses, and visitors.”

Key features of the new website include:

  • Enhanced Accessibility: The website is designed to be accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, ensuring that vital information and services are available to everyone.
  • Streamlined Navigation: Community members can easily navigate through the site to find information on City services, departments, upcoming events/meetings, and more, thanks to the intuitive design and organization.
  • Comprehensive Resources: From permits and forms to community programs and local news, the new website serves as a centralized hub for accessing a wide range of resources and information about the city. Soon the City will also be accepting online payments for business licenses, transient occupancy taxes, and permits.

“We believe that providing easy access to information and services is essential to building a stronger, more connected St. Helena,” said Anil Comelo, City Manager for the City of St. Helena. “As well, the new website reflects our ongoing efforts to improve communications, and increase transparency, accessibility, and community engagement.”

In addition to the website, the St. Helena Parks and Recreation Department has transitioned to a new integrated parks and recreation management system for parks reservations, program registrations, league management, and more. This new platform works seamlessly with the City’s main website.

“Our new recreation management system provides a better user experience for the community,” said Dave Jahns, Parks and Recreation Director. “Users will see a streamlined registration process, enhanced communication tools, more information about each of our programs and facilities, and much more. We are excited to bring this new technology to the community and look forward to utilizing this platform to support the delivery of programming and events for all ages.”

Beyond the new website, the City recently launched St. Helena Grapevine, which allows the community to report non-emergency issues like potholes, park maintenance requests, and more.

In the coming weeks and months additional information, tools, and resources will continue to be added to the website. Some of these updates will add more resources for new businesses looking to come to St. Helena, new online permits for the Community Development and Public Works Departments, and more.

The City of St. Helena invites residents, businesses, and visitors to explore the new website and take advantage of its new and improved features. Feedback and suggestions for further improvements are welcomed and encouraged, just email website@cityofsthelena.org.

With the change in website, the City recommends updating any bookmarks or saved pages since some links have changed. The City will also be following a new State law (AB 1637) requiring the transition to a .gov or .ca.gov website. That process is in its early stages with no set date for implementation. When this change takes place, it will also change all City email addresses. We will again notify the community when that transition takes place.
