The city of Rosenberg continues to monitor Tropical Storm Beryl. As we brace for the approaching storm, emergency responders, public services employees and other City staff members are working diligently around the clock to ensure preparedness and safety for our citizens. With the storm projected to make landfall as a hurricane in the early hours of Monday, July 8, proactive measures are being implemented across the city to mitigate potential risks and protect the community:
- City offices will be closed to the public on Monday, July 8. Following the anticipated passage of the hurricane at approximately 3 p.m., dedicated city staff will be available to answer phones and assist residents with any inquiries or concerns. Please call 832-595-3301 or 832-595-3400 for assistance. For emergencies, please dial 911.
- GFL will NOT be servicing residents on Monday, July 8. We kindly ask residents to refrain from placing trash bins and bags at the curbside, and please secure your trash bins during this time.
- Residents could see damaging winds and power outages during strong storms. Secure your home. Pick up any loose objects that could become airborne.
- Residents should gather essential supplies for at least three days, including water, non-perishable food, batteries and medications for all members of your household, including pets.
- Put together an Emergency Kit and check all emergency equipment, such as flashlights, generators, and storm shutters.
- Contact family or close friends and decide how you will get in contact with each other, where you will go, and what you will do in an emergency.
-
Make a plan for your pets now. Make sure they are wearing a collar and have up-to-date tags. If you have to evacuate, take your pets with you. Remember if it's not safe for you, it's not safe for your pet.
- Residents could see flooded streets. Do not drive through areas of high water. Remember Turn Around Don't Drown! Do not park on the streets and ensure storm drains are clear.
Our team is committed to providing timely information and support ahead of the storm and for any needed recovery efforts. Residents are encouraged to reach out to use the links below for assistance or updates regarding city services and resources:
