City Council approves neighborhood, main road repaving program | |

This spring, the Johns Creek Public Works Department launches its ninth year of repaving the city’s neighborhood streets. Crews are slated to repave five neighborhoods and one main road, and patch seven main roads this year.

A state-mandated burn ban on all outdoor burning is in effect through Sept. 30. According to the Georgia Forestry Commission, careless burning of debris is the leading cause of wildfires in Georgia.

Construction Project Progress | |
|
Construction Project Progress: Crews continue work on two important improvements in the city.
- Haynes Bridge Road at Old Alabama Road: Crews continue utility work and pouring concrete for curb, gutter, and the sidewalk/trail for the Haynes Bridge Road at Old Alabama Road intersection improvement project. The project is expected to be complete by the end of summer, weather permitting.
- Jones Bridge Road: The pedestrian connectivity project includes the installation of a trail and bike lane along the roadway between Douglas Road and McGinnis Ferry Road. The City is not widening or adding vehicular travel lanes on this northern section of Jones Bridge Road but is excited to be adding the trail for pedestrians and bike lane for cyclists.
