Chino Celebrates Volunteers During Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner

CHINO, CA (April 18, 2024) -- The City of Chino celebrated National Volunteer Month by recognizing the hundreds of volunteers who helped make Chino a great place to live, work, and thrive during the annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, April 17.

Throughout the past year, the City of Chino hosted 531 volunteers who collectively dedicated over 31,000 hours of their time to the community, a service valued at over $796,000. Chino’s volunteers lend a helping hand to our community by assisting with special events, after-school programming, senior services, coaching, counseling, serving on commissions and committees, and more.

“A City is only as strong as its volunteers, and Chino is no different. We are blessed to have residents of all ages and backgrounds take time out of their day to help make our community a better place,” said Chino Mayor Eunice Ulloa. “This spirit of volunteerism sets Chino apart from other communities and makes a massive impact in the lives of our neighbors. On behalf of the City Council, thank you for your service to Chino!”
