City of Chino Facilities Closed in Observance of Labor Day

CHINO, CA (August 23, 2024) -- The City of Chino wishes to inform its residents and visitors that in observance of Labor Day, City Hall and most City facilities will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.  


On September 2, 2024, the following facilities will be closed: 


  • City Hall 
  • Police Department Lobby 
  • Neighborhood Activity Center 
  • Carolyn Owens Community Center 
  • Preserve Community Center 


Ayala Park Batting Cages: For those looking to enjoy outdoor activities, the Ayala Park Batting Cages will remain open during normal business hours, 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. We invite you to take advantage of this facility during the holiday period. 


Senior Center: The Senior Center will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please note that classes will not take place, and lunch will not be served.  


Trash Service: Please note that the holiday closure will affect trash service. Residents should place their bins on their street a day after their regularly scheduled pickup date. 


To reach the Police Department for non-emergency services, please call 909-628-1234. In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
