CHINO, CA (June 19, 2024) -- The City of Chino invites you to celebrate the spirit of Independence Day during the annual two-day Fireworks Spectacular on Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, at Ruben S. Ayala Park, located at 14225 Central Avenue.
This free and family-friendly event brings the Chino Valley together in a rousing celebration of freedom and unity. Enjoy exciting carnival games, fun live performances, and one of the best fireworks shows in the Inland Empire on Saturday, June 29.
This year’s theme is “A Salute to Our Armed Forces Heroes” and will include a memorable celebration of our military veterans and service members.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and fun activities to enjoy two exciting days at Ayala Park. Pre-sale wristbands will be available on the event website at cityofchino.org/fs from Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27.

Fireworks Show
The two-day celebration will conclude with the City of Chino’s breathtaking Fireworks Show, which will illuminate the skies on Saturday, June 29, at 9 p.m.
Salute to Armed Forces Heroes
A highlight of the Fireworks Spectacular will be a special tribute to the men and women who serve our country on Saturday, June 29, at 7 p.m. The City of Chino invites community members to participate in this tribute by submitting photographs of a loved one to be included in this year’s presentation. Safety
The City of Chino Police Department has developed an operational plan to manage traffic and ensure overall safety during the event. Police officers, Police Explorers, and Mounted Posse volunteers will patrol the event. Detailed traffic flow maps will be made available a week prior to the event at cityofchino.org/fs.
Parking
Residents are encouraged to walk, ride bicycles, or carpool to avoid traffic congestion before and following the event. The designated rideshare drop-off is on 12th Street north of Edison, just north of the park. Free Public Parking will be available in several lots along the perimeter of the park. The lot at the Chino Fairgrounds will charge $10 for parking with all proceeds benefitting Boy Scout Troop 202. Public parking and designated rideshare drop-offs are outlined on the event map at cityofchino.org/fs.
Prohibited Items
To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all in attendance, certain items are not permitted at the event including fireworks, alcoholic beverages, charcoal grills, motorized vehicles, and drones. Attendees are requested to respect the environment and use the designated trash disposal containers provided.
City Hall Closure
Chino City Hall will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day, and will reopen on Friday, July 5. The City of Chino wishes everyone a safe Independence Day.
