CHINO, CA (May 29, 2024) -- Summer is around the corner, and the City of Chino is full of fun and family-friendly events that will make this season unforgettable. Chino residents of all ages are invited to spend the summer season watching exciting movies, listening to toe-tapping live music, and camping out under the Chino stars.
Chino Summer Nights
Starting on Friday, June 14, bring the whole family for a fun movie under the stars on the Chino City Hall lawn, located at 13220 Central Avenue! Each evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will also include local food vendors and exciting informational booths.
This year’s movie lineup includes:
- June 14 – Barbie
- June 21 – Teenage Mutate Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

June 28 – No movies due to the annual Fireworks Spectacular at Ayala Park
- July 5 – Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile
- July 12 – The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)
- July 19 – Elemental
- July 26 – Wonka

Kiwanis Summer Concerts on the Lawn
If live music is more your style, we have you covered! The Chino Kiwanis Club is bringing a thrilling collection of live music to the Chino City Hall lawn, with a special season finale on July 26 at Founders Park, located at 851 W. Preserve Loop. Concerts will start on Thursday, June 14, and run from 7 to 9 p.m.
This year’s music lineup includes:
- June 13 – Red Hot Cholo Peppers (Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute)
- June 20 – Ransom (Rock)
- June 27 – Britain’s Finest (Beatles Tribute)
- July 11 – Private Eyes (Hall and Oates Tribute)
- July 18 – No Duh (No Doubt Tribute)
- July 26 – Soto (Latin/R&B)

Family Campout at Ayala Park
Want to spend a beautiful Chino night under the stars? The City of Chino invites you to the annual Family Campout on Saturday, July 13, at Ayala Park, located at 14225 Central Avenue. The Family Campout will feature exciting games, fun activities, and a screening of the classic family-friendly movie Little Giants!
Dinner and breakfast will be provided, and participants must bring their own tents and sleeping bags. Space is limited, so register today! Click here to learn more and to register.
Go Skateboarding Day
Attention Chino skaters! Drop into Ayala Skate Park, located at 5575 Edison Avenue, for the annual Go Skateboarding Day! Join us on Friday, June 21, from 3 to 6 p.m. as we celebrate International Go Skateboarding Day with great food, giveaways, competitions, and an afternoon full of skateboarding fun!

Seniors at the Square
The City of Chino also has exciting events planned for our seniors! Join us every Monday from July 8 to August 12 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for a free and fun summer concert series held at Aguiar Square, between C and D Streets on 6th Street, that is guaranteed to get your groove on! Bring a lawn chair and your favorite snacks and prepare to dance the night away!
