The City of Arlington Recognizes all Volunteers

In celebration of National Volunteer Week, April 21–27, we want to say thank you to our community members who serve on boards and commissions, as well as to the individuals and partner organizations who generously donate their time and skills to make Arlington a better place to live.

Volunteers are the backbone of our community, and their contributions impact the lives of others. We want to thank those who selflessly and compassionately give their time and skills to our community. You truly make a difference, and without volunteers, many essential services would not be possible, and many individuals would struggle to access the resources they need.

The City wants to make sure that the services of volunteers do not go unnoticed. We are grateful for all that you do! Your dedication and commitment to service are truly inspiring!

Please read the National Volunteer Week proclamation from our mayor.

Chief Ventura and Arlington Police Department Thank Volunteers with Coffee and Kisses (Hershey's)

The City of Arlington Police Department recognized and expressed gratitude to all of the dedicated police volunteers. These individuals selflessly give their time and effort to help ensure the safety and well-being of our community, and their contributions do not go unnoticed.

Police volunteers play a vital role in supporting our officers in various tasks, such as assisting with administrative work and participating in community events. Their commitment to serving others is truly commendable and greatly appreciated by both the department and the community.

To show appreciation for their hard work and dedication, the department publicly recognized the volunteers through social media and internally with a memo. In addition, each volunteer received a personal card, coffee mug, candy, gift card, coin, pen, and pin as a small token of gratitude.

"We sincerely wish to do more to show appreciation for your hard work and dedication. Your selflessness and commitment to serving others makes a difference, and we are incredibly fortunate to have you on our team," said Chief Ventura.

The City of Arlington Police Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our police volunteers for their invaluable contributions.

Senior Aerospace AMT Donates Funds to the Arlington Police Department and the Arlington Community Food Bank

Senior Aerospace AMT, a leading aerospace manufacturing company, recently donated funds to the Arlington Police Department and the Arlington Community Food Bank. The company's leadership and employees are committed to making a positive impact through donations of time and money.

The decision to donate to these two organizations was based on their services within the community. With families facing increasing challenges in meeting their basic needs, the Arlington Community Food Bank plays a critical role in providing food security to those in need.

In addition, the company wanted to express appreciation for the sacrifices made by The Arlington Police Department. In light of recent discussions surrounding law enforcement, Senior Aerospace AMT recognizes the importance of law and order for the well-being of our employees and community. The donation to the Arlington Police Department is a small gesture of gratitude for their dedication and service to Arlington.

The donations were made possible through contributions from Senior Aerospace AMT employees who share the company's values of giving back and making a difference.
