Summer Safety: Stay Safe While Having Fun in the Sun
|
💧 Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially when spending time outdoors or engaging in physical activity. Dehydration can sneak up on you quickly in the heat.
☀ Wear your Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at least 15 minutes before going outside, and reapply every two hours (more often if swimming or sweating). Don’t forget commonly missed areas like ears, neck, and feet.
🏊♀️ Swim Safely: Kids should always have supervision while swimming. It is also a good idea to put kids in bathing suits with good underwater visibility colors, such as neon pink, orange, and yellow.

National Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day
In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day to honor and recognize those in law enforcement who have lost their lives in the line of duty. In addition, he declared the calendar week May 15th falls in as National Police Week, placing National Police Week May 15th - 21st this year. The week is a time to celebrate and memorialize the fallen and disabled officers and honor and thank all officers who continue to protect and serve. With absolute gratitude, we thank all of the Robinson Police Officers for the sacrifices they make to serve our community.

Recycling is picked up every other week on your designated collection day. | The City of Robinson follows McLennan County on burn bans. On September 15th, McLennan County's Commissioners Court lifted the county-wide burn ban that had been in effect since July. However, it is important to keep checking back, since it can change depending on the circumstance. Although a burn ban is currently not going, burning still requires a permit, you can apply for one here.

They have thousands of books that they are exchanging for books in your closet, in your attic, or on your bookshelf that you don't need or want anymore. Everything collected will go for the perpetual care of the Little Lending Library. ALL BOOKS NOT FOR USE IN THE LITTLE LENDING LIBRARY MUST GO. Paperbacks, hardbacks, best-sellers, coffee table books, Christian and self-help books, books from around the world, books looking for a home, books that won't fit or can't be used in the Little Lending Library must go.
