Did you Know...

Baylor University's McLane Stadium has been open for eight years. It has seen the Bears score over 2000 points, holds over 45,000 fans, and is a big part of Waco's skyline.

It would take enough water to fill the stadium more than 17 times to get Lake Waco back to 100%.

Be smart about the water you use to brush your teeth, wash your clothes, and water your lawn.

Mars Drive and Old Hewitt Reconstruction Project Updates

The City is reconstructing/widening Mars Drive from Hewitt Drive to Texas Central Parkway and Old Hewitt Road from Mars Drive to Imperial Drive. The project consists of both roadways being widened, right turn lanes added at the intersection of Mars Drive and Old Hewitt Road, concrete pavement, drainage improvements, and new sidewalks adjacent to Midway High School along Mars Drive.

The project started in January 2022, and the contract was awarded to Big Creek Construction, Ltd for $8,587,612.00. Since it began, this job is approximately 55% complete and is looking at a proposed project completion of August 2023.

Reminder: Water Restrictions

We truly appreciate your cooperation as we navigate drought conditions and do our best to conserve water!

👉  Odd number addresses may water Tuesdays & Saturdays.

👉  Even number addresses may water Wednesdays & Sundays.

👉  Business customers may water Mondays & Fridays.

👉  No watering on Thursdays.

👉  Hand watering allowed on all days of the week.

• Why Mandatory Restrictions? •
