Join us in celebration of Pines Day – the City of Pembroke Pines 64th Birthday – on Saturday, April 27 from 4 pm to 8 pm. This year’s theme, “Largest Outdoor Arcade,” transforms the Plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way, into the “Ultimate Gamer’s Birthday Bash - Level 64.” All ages can enjoy free access to an open-air roller rink and oversized arcade games like Skee-Ball, Air Hockey, and Claw Machines. There will also be bounce houses, slides, and the chance to compete in the Royal Court Pageant for Pembroke Pines residents ages 3-16. See pageant info below.
The fun day also includes the Kids Konnection, a “Kid’s Friendly Business Expo,” which offers an opportunity to connect families with over 25 businesses in the South Florida area, delicious treats from Food Truck Row and performances by local chorus and dance teams on the Birthday Stage. There's also the unveiling of 1,000 decorated cupcakes at 4:30 pm. In addition, free popcorn, cotton candy and face painting will be available all day, strolling characters add to picture-perfect opportunities, and giveaways will be offered throughout the day. Visitors can meet the “Mushroom Kingdom Friends” for Photo Opportunities --The Two Famous Plumbers, the Dragon King and Mushroom Princess will host a Meet and Greet from 5-6:30 p.m. on the Plaza.
