Commission Meeting

A City of Pembroke Pines Commission Meeting will be held tonight, February 21, 2024 beginning at 6:30 pm in City Chambers. The meeting can be viewed in person, via Channel 78 on Comcast, the city website at www.ppines.com or the city's YouTube channel.

A Household Hazardous Waste Disposal drop off will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 8 am to 2 pm at 13975 Pembroke Rd. RESIDENTS MUST BRING PROOF OF PEMBROKE PINES RESIDENCY TO USE DROP OFF SERVICES. Please see website for list of items that can and cannot be disposed of.

The City of Pembroke Pines and Miramar have joined together with the American Cancer Society for the 26th Annual Relay for Life Event being held on Friday, March 8, 2024. It will be held at the City of Pembroke Pines Charter High School Athletic Field located at 17189 Sheridan Street. Registered Teams will have their decorated booth spaces themed to “Destination: Relay Land- Hope Made Here” (Barbie Theme). Participants are encouraged to wear purple and pink as part of the theme.



Kicking off the event will be the Survivor Dinner at 5 pm which will be open to registered survivors along with their caregivers and family. The opening ceremony at 6 pm will feature performances, check presentations and recognition of survivors and caregivers with a Medaling Ceremony. The First Lap is scheduled for 7 pm. Everyone who has ever fought or knows someone who fought cancer is invited to walk the track at this time and cheer for survivors in attendance. At 8 pm the Torches of Hope, in remembrance of those who lost their battle with cancer, will be lit. At 9 pm the Luminaria Ceremony will take place, lining the entire track with lit bags honoring and remembering those who have battled cancer. Throughout the evening, guests and friends will have an opportunity to compete in the “Miz Relay Contest,” visit team booths, enter raffles and enjoy treats and prizes. Savor the Sounds -- free monthly concert in the Plaza at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, 601 City Center Way, on Sunday, February 25 from 4-7 pm. Live music will be by Eric & The Jazzers and there will be live paining by Artist Brenda Presil. Bring seating.


Youth Soccer -- The City of Pembroke Pines 2024 Spring Break summer camp will be held Monday to Friday, March 25 - 29, 2024 for five days. Camp hours are 7:30 am to 6 pm each day. Campers are 6 to 16 years of age both boys and girls. The camp has either half day camp from 7:30 am to 1 pm or Full day camp from 7:30 am to 6 pm. Online registration for this camp will open on March 1, 2024. There are limited spaces available for this camp. All soccer registrations are online.
