  • Brand new safety netting on the south side of the Arena.
  • New Zamboni doors, generously donated by the G2H Foundation.
  • Ice Arena bathroom renovations are underway.

Long Beach Lifeguards Make National News!

Our Chief of Lifeguards along with some of our Rookie Lifeguards were featured on the National broadcast of ABC’s “Nightline”. Chief Rich Borawski, who has 41 years of experience keeping our beachgoers and residents safe here in Long Beach, shared important safety tips about beach and water safety, including lifesaving information about rip currents. His rookie team demonstrated training drills and were featured prominently in this important story on safety. On behalf of President Finn and the Council, the City is so proud of the amazing group of lifeguards who work tirelessly and selflessly every day to keep us safe --thank you!
