The 2023 San Antonio City Council Race is now in full swing, with all the candidates filing by the deadline last Friday.
A remarkable 59 candidates have stepped forward to run for the 10 Council Districts and Mayor’s seat. Notably, District 7 Ana Sandoval’s recent resignation has now created an open seat with 5 candidates in that race. District 10 Clayton Perry also decided not to seek re-election, and we have 7 candidates vying for his seat. Meanwhile, Districts 1 and 2 are also shaping up to be competitive races, with 8 candidates challenging incumbent Mario Bravo and 9 candidates running against incumbent Jalen McKee-Rodriguez.
