About 50 runners braved the different running surfaces and the complete lack of hills for the RCGC Anniversary Race this past Saturday. Weather for the December was cool but clear. Tallin Forshey was the men's winner with a time of 17:48, and Michela Santini was the top female with a time of 19:29. (Full race results available at www.cincinnatirunning.com. )
Thank you to our sponsors Group Health Associates, Holy Grail - Banks, RoadId, and Waltz Business Solutions and our volunteers - Tom Glassscock, Bill Hardy, Liz Hofacre, Dale Mathis, Gina Meyers, Don Raake, Jenni Raake, and Lisa Stephens Bodine. Without their help, the race never could have happened. |

Berkeley Lab has designed a transcontinental virtual trip across the United States. Each time you enter your mileage of either running, walking or cycling, they add it to your total and show you exactly what you would see if you had been traveling on the TransAmerica Trail from Yorktown, Virginia to Florence, Oregon. They also provide maps that show your progress and the progress of your friends if they have an account. If you wish, you can form teams to race across the United States. You can check it out at http://exercise.lbl.gov/index.html. Currently, I am in Missouri.
