Church of the Brethren
ETHICS TRAINING

As part of the 5 year ordination review in 2025, each ordained minister must complete an Ethics Training session. 0.5 CEUS will be granted to ordained ministers upon completion of the training event. The booklet that will be used during the training sessions, provided at no-cost to ANE ministers, is ‘Ethics for the Set-Apart Ministry,” written by James Benedict, a Brethren pastor with more than 30 years of experience in pastoral ministry, who has also studied extensively the field of ethics.

ANE is hosting 6 Ethics Training sessions in 2024. Each training session will be held from 9am-3pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Lunch is not provided. Please plan to bring lunch, or purchase from a nearby restaurant. Participants should bring a Bible to the training session.

NEW to this ordination review cycle is the inclusion of licensed ministers serving in pastoral functions. All licensed ministers serving in approved ministry settings are required to have completed the 101 Level Ethics  Training as a part of your ministry training journey. Those who are licensed and currently serving in pastoral leadership, are now being asked to complete the 201 Advanced Level Ethics Training
