Almighty God, you have poured upon us the new light of your incarnate Word: Grant that this light, enkindled in our hearts, may shine forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan proclaimed him your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit: Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

The Christmas Offering

At this holy time of the year, let us remember our blessings and all the gifts we have given. As is our tradition at Grace, we share those gifts and blessings with those in need throughout our community with our Christmas Outreach Offering.

Your donations help feed the poor in our community, provide chaplaincy services to youth in detention, and create programs for the elderly. It offers support when natural disasters strike, and staffs an educational summer camp for low-income children. These are just a few of the ministries our parish supports through your Christmas Outreach Offering.

Pastoral Care

Grace’s clergy are available by appointment to discuss personal, pastoral, or spiritual matters; please call or email the clergy directly. Members of the lay pastoral care team are also available to visit and bring communion to those unable to be at church in person.

Please let the clergy or Sara Losse know if you or someone you know in the congregation is in need of a pastoral visit. If you have a concern that you would prefer to keep private, please let the clergy or Ruth Moore know so that she can

put your need on the prayer chain. Throughout the week, members of the Grace Prayer Chain are praying privately for special needs of the congregation.

In case of a pastoral emergency, please call the parish office at 314-821-1806, ext.7. A priest is on call at all times. In case of hospitalization, when a member of the church is near death or has died, please notify clergy as soon as possible so that we may minister to you and your family with prayers and anointing.
