Jingle Jeepin' Parade & Market

The Craft Market will open at noon inside the beautiful West Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau on December 2nd. Come out and shop for your Christmas gifts and visit our food vendors serving up Louisiana goodness! Jeepers are invited to the WBRCVB grounds to decorate their jeeps for the parade and listen to the Classics by Jude. There will be an award for "Best Decorated Jeep" at 4:30pm. The parade rolls out at 5:30pm. Wayne Toups takes the stage at 7:30pm- 10:00pm.  Don’t miss it!

The West Baton Rouge Library presents Love it or List it Holiday Edition apron decorating on December 5th from 6-7:30pm! It's the most beautiful time of the year, so show off your creative side by fashioning something sure to turn heads.

Do you want to build a snowman? Create a snowman craft at West Baton Rouge Library’s Christmas Craft Night on November 30th from 6-7:30pm! Join in as the holidays are brought to life with ribbons, paints, buttons and more. Registration is required and open to ages 18 and up.

Don’t miss the West Baton Rouge Museum Holiday Open House on December 3 from 2-5pm, featuring holiday treats, crafts, musicians & artists, a  “Find the Elves” scavenger hunt, shopping, and a visit from Père Noël!

Teeter's Pound Cake


Adapted from this recipe submitted by Bonnie Erickson (who received it from her cousin, Virginia "Teeter" Lathrop) to The Advocate taking first prize in their Thanksgiving dessert contest, Mary Broussard Acosta, winner of the 2021 SugarFest contest, adds a little nutmeg to her version. Thanks to all parties for sweetly sharing the sweets!
