"Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"
– Theodor Seuss Geisel, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Tim Carson entered the Elkhorn Chamber office, and with a shrug and a smile, he unveiled the 2020 Christmas Card Town's newest addition. Titled, "He's Making a LIst and Checking it Twice", Carson had a vision of Santa sitting quietly under a street light while he jotted down the names of the Elkhorn children as they fell into the categories of Naughty vs. Nice. With the same steady hand Carson used to paint each brush stroke, he gently removed each staple from the print as he carefully separated the artwork from the mounting upon which the newest Christmas Card was created. This will be the ninth year Tim Carson has been commissioned by the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce to capture the sentiment of the holiday season here in Elkhorn, WI

For our Christmas Card Town enthusiasts or first-time buyers, 10 packs and individual cards of the 2020 Christmas Card will be available for purchase at the Elkhorn Chamber starting November 13th. In addition to our debuting Christmas Card, the Elkhorn Chamber has 20+ years of Christmas Card inventory on display. Shoppers are invited to assemble their own variety packs that make unique holiday gifts for Elkhorn natives and distant recipients alike.
While Santa prepares for his upcoming Christmas Eve deliveries, the Elkhorn Chamber has personally invited him to participate in our 39th Annual Tree Lighting to be held downtown Elkhorn, December 4th at 6:30PM. Santa and a special community helper will arrive by horse drawn carriage and ignite the holiday spirit with the lighting of our downtown Christmas Tree. Santa will then join the Elkhorn Community at this year's 1st Annual Let It Glow event held at the Walworth County Fairgrounds. Let It Glow will be a .5 mile drive-thru festival of lights and displays with a final stop at Santa's North Pole Express. Children of all ages will be able to see Santa, wave hello, and have their wish lists hand delivered by Santa's illuminated elves.
The festivities spill over to Saturday, December 5th, where we will gather downtown for the 39th Annual Christmas Card Town Parade. The parade will commence at 1:30pm, leaving from the Walworth County Fairgrounds, and with over 10 city blocks included in the parade route, there will be plenty of street space for our community members and guests to social distance and enjoy the passing entertainment.
While so many things have changed over the course of 2020, the Elkhorn Chamber is proud to honor our holiday traditions in a safe and respectable manner. Thank you to all of our volunteers and community supporters for your continued participation and encouragement. We know now more than ever, the best way to do anything, is together!

For the past many, many years, HOPE NOW of Elkhorn and the Elkhorn School District have coordinated food and gift assistance for families in need during the Holidays. In order to limit exposure of our donors, volunteers and families to households outside their own, we will be requesting donations of food cards and store gift cards. HOPE NOW kindly requests the donation of grocery gift cards and store gift cards (ex. Piggly Wiggly, Aldi, WalMart, Target, Kohl’s).
Gift cards will be distributed to families in need based on family size.

Cork Pull - version 2020
Our cork pull experience was always a big hit at the Gala. For a virtual celebration, we certainly cannot have our volunteer angels standing in front of the table of wines...
HOWEVER, to carry the tradition on, we invite you to find your
favorite wines at our favorite stores.
Between November 14 - 30, our partner stores will contribute a
portion of their sales to OAFC!
To sweeten the deal, with this coupon, you will receive a free gift sponsored by
Youngquist Kennedy Orthodontics (while supplies last).
