The Sangre De Cristo Vocal Arts Ensemble, Southern Colorado’s premiere community choir, presents “God With Us,” a telling of the Christmas story in song and scripture.
The music is inspiring, uplifting, and sure to fill your heart with the true spirit of Christmas.
This year’s cantata is a compilation of the best songs from cantatas of years past and present.

Cost:
Invitees are asked to donate what they can afford, but we do not want you to miss the event due to your budget. There are significant costs involved in making these types of events available to the community, and the average cost for an event like this is $10 per person. For anything you give
above
that amount, the Villa Jubilee Foundation can provide you with a tax-deductible receipt at your request. Proceeds benefit both VJF and the Ensemble.

: Please bring about a dozen helpings of your favorite holiday hors d’oeuvres (
other than cookies -- the performers are providing those).

3001 County Rd. 330, Walsenburg, CO 81089. Go south on County Rd. 330 (also known as Ideal Road, on the west edge of St. Mary's Cemetary) from Hwy. 160, on the south edge of Walsenburg. Drive three miles, go under railroad trestle, turn right at first mailbox -- you'll see 3001 on the mailbox. Take the driveway up to the house, unload under canopy, then park.

The Sangre De Cristo Vocal Arts Ensemble, numbering 31 singers when we are in full voice, is truly a community choir, heralding singers from Rye, Walsenburg, Gardner, Aguilar, Trinidad, La Veta, and Cuchara, as well as one dedicated singer from Boulder! We are an interdenominational choir singing sacred music for the glory of our Savior.
Enjoying our third year together, we continue to grow under the direction of Kalima Masse. Our choir members range in skill from classical and operatic singers to music lovers with no formal training, each singer having the heart of a true musician. We again are honored and delighted to be accompanied on the piano by Nancy Nielsen, accompanist extraordinaire. Also this year, we are joined by musicians Karen Campbell on piano, Megan Jeffus on cello, and Cass Cruz on drums. We remain grateful to Dave and Deb Messier from Charlie's Market in La Veta for their generous donation of the sheet music for this year’s Cantata. Our performances occur at the behest and generosity of the whole Southern Colorado community - we are always delighted to sing for you a joyful song!

The C.O.G. (Council of Governments) has offered to provide vans to transport those who want a ride from the Huerfano Community Center, 928 Russell Street, Walsenburg, to the concert at Villa Jubilee. Meet at 5:30 at the community Center. It is $2.00 per head each way! ($4.00 round trip.)

The Villa Jubilee Foundation (VJF) is a 501(c)(3) Christian organization that exists for the purpose of conducting spiritual renewal retreats and seminar programs.
