…lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 2:11
The Word of God tells us what to expect in the latter days, because God’s people will perish without this knowledge (Hosea 4:6). The Holy spirit tells us not to be ignorant of the devil’s devices. We’ve looked at the rise in demonic deception, and the importance of having the knowledge to be stable in unstable times (Part 1). We’ve looked at how the devil will bring sudden attacks to try and overwhelm us (Part 2). We’ve looked at the hatred that rises up against Christians (part 3). Now here in part 4, we’re going to examine the issue of social lawlessness abounding. God is a God of order, and lawlessness is a tool of the devil to steal, kill and destroy any and all who dare resist his intent to deceive, destroy and damn as many as possible.
…and because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12-13

Jesus didn’t say lawlessness would increase somewhat in the end-times. He said it will abound! That means it will be worldwide, spreading like a malignant cancer at every level of society. And because the spirit of lawlessness explodes internationally, the love of many will decrease proportionately. All over the world, people will become totally de-sensitized to the anarchy and violence that comes with lawlessness. It will become so bad that most will reach a point emotionally where they don’t care anymore. They’ll have no feelings of anger, resentment, indignation or reprisal. They’ll have become cold towards it all.  We’re moving into this realm of social thought quickly, as 2020 has demonstrated.
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4

As Christians who are not ignorant of the devil’s devices, the first thing we must understand is that lawlessness is sin. It’s not just misplaced social “feelings”, or some coordinated effort to make things “better”, whatever that may mean. Sin is rebellion against God. Satan is the author of it, and works to instill that same mindset in those he uses and deceives, now more than ever. You see these poor fools rioting and destroying public and private property, defying any law that doesn’t fit their agenda for revolution? Their lawlessness is the outward sign of their inner rebellion against God and the Lord Jesus. And anyone who supports such activity (politically, spiritually or socially) is just as guilty before God as those who actually do the devil’s bidding. As we found from part 3 of this study, they’re all just a bunch of deceived puppets - useful idiots that Satan uses then abuses.

The nature of sin is lawlessness against God. God is a God of order, and lawlessness is a tool of the devil to steal, kill and destroy any and all who dare resist his intent to deceive, destroy and damn as many as possible. This was part of Lucifer’s downfall. He refused to obey the laws and rules set forth by Almighty God. You see the devil’s handiwork now in the lives of these workers of iniquity. He is using them to bring chaos and anarchy to America, and to every other nation on earth.
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. Romans 6:19

Just as it is with all sin, lawlessness is never “satisfied” at any level because Satan is never satisfied until his desired end-result is accomplished. In the case of civil structure based on law and order, that means the complete removal of all social justice as defined in the Word of God. Evil continues to increase proportionally to the degree it is fomented. The more lawlessness is practiced, the stronger of a magnet it becomes - growing worse and worse as the deceived perpetrators continue to deceive others. (2 Timothy 3:13)
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  2 Thessalonians 2:7-9

The “mystery” of lawlessness is already at work. If this was stated in the Bible more than 2,000 years ago, how much more is that mystery at work today? The “he” who restrains (prevents) the lawless mystery from literally exploding globally is the body of Christ – the church. We’re the ones who hold back the tidal wave of anarchy and lawlessness the devil intends to unleash upon planet earth in the last days. If you think things are bad now, they’re going to continue to deteriorate to the point God has to literally step in to keep the entire planet from destroying itself. (Mark 13:19-20) We are now experiencing the “birth pangs” of lawlessness, which will ultimately introduce the Anti-Christ, who is specifically identified as the “lawless one”. (Romans 8:22) That means lawlessness will be his platform for ruling and controlling the nations until the 2nd coming of our Lord Jesus at the end of the 7-year Tribulation. Everything you see happening now is but a dress rehearsal for coming chaos.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
with the oil of gladness more than Your companions." Hebrews 1:9

Because lawlessness is sin, Jesus hates it. If He hates it, so should we. We are not to hide behind our Bibles, cower under our beds in fear, and let these lawless elements have their way. No! We’re to actively confront them and resist to the max. How do we do that? Do we organize counter-marches and protests, so as to burn down and destroy the homes, neighborhoods and meeting places where these thugs operate from? Of course not. If we’re Biblically smart like we should be, we choose to fight back on a different plane – the higher one that really makes the difference between victory and defeat. We fight in the realm where unbelievers can never go. We fight the good fight of faith in the spiritual realm, where all Satanic rebellion emanates from. We hate the sin of lawlessness like Jesus does, and we use our authority in His name to pull down these demonic strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) We use spiritual weapons to fight spiritual battles, because that’s the real war that must be won. We retaliate against the spiritual forces of darkness who control these satanic puppets (Ephesians 6:10-20). We go to the root of the problem, and crush the enemy at the source.
As always, let’s see how Jesus set the example with how He handled manifested expressions of evil and lawlessness. What did Jesus do when his beloved cousin John was beheaded? (Matthew 14:8-13) First, He went to a solitary place to pray. Why? To get direction from God and get control of His emotions. Remember, Jesus was just as human as we are. He experienced the same range of emotions that any normal person would feel after receiving such news about a beloved family member. He was tempted in all points like we are. If we would be tempted to seek angry revenge for what was done to one of our close family members, you can be sure Jesus was too. That’s why the Word of God says Jesus is easily touched with the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15 KJV), because He dealt with the same gamut of feelings we do in situations like this. He’s been there. He knows what we’re dealing with emotionally.  But He demonstrated the discipline to look beyond what Herod, Herodias and her daughter had done. He focused His attention on the real source for this lawlessness, seeking God’s guidance for ways to effectively counter-attack where it would really hurt – in the spiritual realm. To accomplish this, He came out from His place of seclusion and healed all those who were sick. (Matthew 14:14) In short, because the devil is the author of all sickness and disease, He retaliated against the devil by healing many sick people. Our situations will differ from one person to the next, but like Jesus, we must learn to do what He did. We retaliate against lawlessness with spiritual weapons. We pray for God’s guidance. We intercede. We exercise our authority. Then we reach out with the gospel – even to the puppets of Satan who do his bidding. Some will harden their hearts against us, but many will have their hearts penetrated with the power of the Word of God, and the love of God. If God could transform a hardened anti-Christian like Saul of Tarsus, and turn him into one of the greatest New Testament apostles ever, He can certainly do it again – multiple times! Never underestimate the power of spiritual weapons at our disposal.
What is happening is a global awakening inside the body of Christ. There is a radical remnant of believers rising up, who refuse to cower in fear. There are those of us who realize this is a golden opportunity to invade the kingdom of darkness with the light of the gospel. Many are no longer content to remain among the frozen chosen. They’re standing up and aggressively reaching out to the lost amidst all the chaos, anarchy and confusion. Aggressive, in-your-face evangelism. Public displays of praise and worship, while the ungodly stand back and watch.

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: "Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever." Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. 2 Chronicles 20:21-23

Just like what God told King Jehoshaphat, before he sent the army out to face the horde of ungodly invaders. Saints, it’s time to put the praise and worship team out front!
As the love of many grows colder and colder, the love of God shines brighter and brighter. Now more than ever, the kingdom of God should be demonstrated with signs, wonders and mighty deeds. (Romans 15:18-19) Here is a portion of the Lord’s message to Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin, about the last great revival and the miracles which will accompany it. This vision was experienced in 1950 – 70 years ago! The complete message given in this vision is included in our September COLD WATER e-newsletter. It is titled: AMERICA’S LAST CALL.

Jesus also said this was the last great revival. He went on to say, “All the gifts of the Spirit will be in operation in the Church in these last days, and the Church will do greater things than even the Early Church did. It will have greater power, signs, and wonders than were recorded in the Acts of the Apostles.” He said that we have seen and experienced many healings, but we will now behold amazing miracles that have not been seen before. Jesus continued, “More and more miracles will be performed in the last days which are just ahead, for it is time for the gift of the working of miracles to be more in prominence. We now have entered into the era of the miraculous."

We were born for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14) This is the time for true believers to stand up against lawlessness and retaliate in the spirit realm. Remember, we’re fighting against evil spirits, not the puppets they’re using to foment these displays of social unrest. Pray the prayer the early church prayed in Acts 4:29-30.

“Now Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus”.
Determined Faith
God has given us exceedingly great and precious promises in the Bible but so many people go through life without receiving all that God has planned for them. Why? What is the secret to receiving all that He has for us? Faith.
With faith ... all things are possible. With faith... we are able to please God. With faith ... even just the size of a tiny mustard seed... we can move mountains.
The devil knows this. That's why he and his demons are dedicated to seeing your faith fail under pressure. Many obstacles are placed in your way to discourage you in the hope that you will give up. But God's promises, blessings, and rewards are on the line. To receive them you must be willing to develop Determined Faith.
