TAUREN WELLS
"Take It All Back"

Singer/songwriter Tauren Wells' current collaboration with We The Kingdom and Davies, is the #3 song on this week's Billboard CCM chart,
Tauren has won eight Dove Awards including Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. In addition, he has been nominated for 10 Grammy Awards.
Wells and his wife, Lorna, have a popular podcast, "Alive And Well" where they discuss inspiring things that God has given them through their marriage, four boys and careers. He also has a separate solo podcast, "The High Note"
Tauren has an expanded 15 track Horizon version of his hit album, "Joy in the Morning," that includes "Take It All Back" and his single, “Crazy About You.”
How did you get started with music
and writing songs?
TW: I grew up in Battle Creek, MI, which is a small factory town. I began singing in my church choir when I was nine, and by the time I was 15 I was playing and singing, and starting to write my own songs. With writing, I fell in love with the idea that there are so many things that are happening beneath the surface in our hearts, and if we take the time to sit down and excavate a little bit, we can bring some of the emotions up to the surface. And they have a way of connecting with a lot of other people.
Early on, you were in the group,
Royal Tailor, and then you signed a label deal as a solo artist. Can you talk about those early years?
TW: Man, those early years were so special. We started Royal Tailor in college. I was put in charge of throwing one of our school pep rallies, and wanted to make it really dope because, prior to this moment, all of the rallies were super lame (laughs). So we put together a band to make the rallies more cool. I spent a month writing some songs and pulling guys together. That was the genesis of the band, and we loved it. We started touring and playing shows. We played at churches, youth groups, all kinds of places. And, when we played a show in Beaumont, Texas, there was a family who had connections to the music industry, and he handed our demo to a Sony label executive and the rest is history.

#1 Artist,
CRYSTAL AIKEN,
First-Ever Live Recording This Weekend

Crystal Aikin's hit single, "He Can Handle It," sits at #1 on this week's Billboard Gospel Airplay chart.
The first-ever BET Sunday Best Winner, Aikin never fails to inspire and uplift her listeners, and this song is no exception. With its powerful lyrics and soulful melody, it speaks to the trials and challenges we all face in life. But Crystal reminds us that no matter what we’re going through, we can trust in God’s strength and faithfulness to see us through. Her voice soars with conviction and passion, making this track a true masterpiece.
The Dallas, Texas native was on Erica Campbell's "Get Up" program heard in Atlanta on V-103. "“We did this song right in the pandemic actually and so it was a reminder for people to be encouraged to know that he can handle," she said. "The media was so negative, you know, and people were losing. People were feeling very much depressed and down, but it was a reminder that he can handle it, that with God, all things are possible. If you cast your cares upon him, he cares for you. He’s gonna take care of it. And then there’s a phrase that says I know he can. I know he will. He can handle it, and it’s a declaration.”

AMIR TSARFATI
AND RICK YOHN
“Discovering Daniel”
Finding Our Hope in God’s Prophetic Plan Amid Global Chaos

Amir Tsarfati's new book, "Discovering Daniel," entered this month's Christian Bookseller's Top 50 list at #1.
Our Lives and the Future Are in His Hands
While the world appears to be in dire straits, the book of Daniel paints a vivid picture of the many ways God guides our lives and world events, providing us with great reason to hope.
Using the same deep but easy-to-understand style found in his standout seller "Revealing Revelation," bestselling author Amir Tsarfati reveals how Daniel’s prophecies—and his unwavering faith in a contentious culture—provide vital insights for living out these last days with hope and wisdom. As you explore the deep connection between Daniel and Revelation, you will learn how Discovering Daniel reveals how the words, actions, and visions of the prophet Daniel can provide you with purpose and hope in today’s chaotic world, encouraging you to live with confidence in God’s supreme sovereignty and love in the time we have left on this earth.
Enemies have risen up against Israel and God's people since almost the beginning of time. How important is it to have a biblical understanding this current existential threat?
Amir: First of all, its important to know that God is in control and, throughout history, He's always been there for His people.
The promises that we have in the Bible are that He's going to get us through all of these things.
It's important to hold a biblical perspective of Israel in order to understand that He's still on the throne today and He will carry us into the future.
Over and over again, since 1948, through 1956 and 1967 and 1973, throughout the Lebanon war and the Gulf War and all the intifadas and the second Lebanon war, God has been faithful and we're still here and we're strong and we will win.

JEFFERSON BETHKE
Fighting Shadows: Overcoming 7 Lies
That Keep Men From Becoming Fully Alive

"Fighting Shadows," by New York Times bestselling author Jefferson Bethke, entered his month's Christian Booksellers' Top 50 list at #5.
Bethke offers a powerful call to men everywhere to step into the light of Jesus' model of masculinity. He talks about why so many men today seem to be in a state of confusion and low grade angst. Why do men so often feel isolated and struggle to express their loneliness? Could it be that our world has grown increasingly hostile toward masculinity?
Why do men so often feel isolated and struggle to express our loneliness and vulnerability? Could it have something
to do with the fact that masculinity itself
is under attack?
JB: There's a spirit in parts of culture that believes being a man and what comes with that is one of the primary like evils of our world that needs to be cleansed.
Making the individual the most important thing at the expense of the family...there's no really shared mission in a family...when there's no shared mission, it kind of devolves down to just the individual's comfort and consumption as the main goal.
That's really my argument in that book is that's really damaging to the family because family is almost limiting to the individual when I think the biblical argument and certainly the ancient argument even outside of a religious argument is that families are created to be teams.
There are roles on teams...just like there is with the Warriors and the Patriots and all these sports teams and different different capacities and roles and giftings and talents.
I'm coming from a Christian perspective so I absolutely believe that God has put husband and wife... or even if you're a single parent or a blended family...he's put your family together with your particular kids because the world needs that team to go do a thing that they could not do by themselves.
The definition of a team is that you're trying to accomplish something that, if you were just by yourself, you wouldn't be able to do.

Family-Friendly
"Inside Out 2" Becomes 2024's
Top Movie

INSIDE OUT 2 surpassed DUNE: PART TWO to become 2024’s top movie.
The family-friendly flick garnered over $725 million in ticket sales worldwide and is expected to take in even more.
A part of Movieguide®’s review for the film reads: INSIDE OUT 2 is a sequel to the acclaimed 2015 animated comedy. Riley, the young girl of the first movie, turns 13 and starts having teenage angst. She longs to join the champion varsity girls high school hockey team. However, new, unruly teenage emotions, led by Anxiety, has taken over the Control Room in Riley’s brain. In fact, Anxiety has forcibly banished Joy and her friends from the Control Room. Can Joy and her friends find their way back and fix the damage Anxiety is inflicting on Riley?
INSIDE OUT 2 is a marvelous, family-friendly animated movie. The movie is delightful, funny, inventive, and heartwarming. It has many positive messages. For example, it promotes “the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10c) and doing the right thing, controlling your emotions and not letting anxieties overcome your decision making. INSIDE OUT 2 also promotes kindness, friendship, repentance, and forgiveness. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children for scenes of peril and a large scary-looking but nonthreatening character. Unlike other recent animated movies, INSIDE OUT 2 doesn’t have any woke or politically correct content.

15 Summer Savings Tips
Ahh, sweet summertime. It’s the season for hangouts by the pool, neighborhood barbecues, family vacations and all things outdoors. But while those and all our other favorite warm-weather activities are fun, they aren’t exactly free—and the costs can spin out of control if you aren’t careful.
So, to make sure you stay on budget, we’ve got 15 summer saving tips to help you save money without sacrificing any fun.
15 Ways to Save Money This Summer
1. Trim up your entertainment budget. - Having fun these days can be pretty expensive. Date nights, movie nights and afternoons at the mall can add up quickly—to the tune of hundreds of dollars. Ouch! Luckily, there are plenty of ways to have summertime fun without spending a gazillion dollars every month.
Make the most of free stuff like outdoor concerts, movie-on-the-lawn nights and free days at local museums. Borrow free DVDs from the public library or take advantage of free streaming services instead of overspending at the movie theater. Cook dinner for your friends at home, and split the cost instead of going to a restaurant.
Taking steps like those could easily wind up saving you $100 a month.
