“Sit Here If You’re Having

A Bad Day.”

FORREST FRANK

Turns Stranger’s Day Around In Seconds

Bad moods are no match for musician Forrest Frank! In a heartwarming Instagram video, this creative songwriter made it his mission to cheer up passersby with his original tune, “Good Day.” He set up an audio station at a picnic table with a sign that read, “Sit here if you’re having a bad day.” It wasn’t long before a stranger came along in need of some encouragement.

A man walked up to the picnic table and seated himself across from Forrest, putting on a pair of provided headphones. That’s when the young musician started doing his thing. He began with a peppy beat, followed by an uplifting melody on the keyboard. Then, he began to sing “Good Day,” a song he’d written about things to be grateful for.

After listening to Frank’s positive music, the stranger’s mood was visibly improved. “I needed that,” he told the singer, offering a fist bump. “Thank you, bro.”

Forrest currently has two songs in the top 10 on Billboard's Contemporary Christian charts..."Good Day" at #2 and "Up!" at #8.

The Texas native exploded into the Christian Music scene in 2022 and became quickly known via the song “No Longer Bound” which was a collaboration with, Hulvey. The song even topped Spotify's Top 50 Viral Playlist. Since then, Forrest has released many hit singles and several albums. He has also collabrated with artists such as Lecrae, Connor Price, and Elevation Rhythm. “Good Day” has created more than 250M views on Instagram alone! He was the #1 new artist in Christian Music for 2023 according to Billboard.

Through his music and social media presence, Forrest has become a fan favorite and gained him a passionate fanbase for his encouraging lyrics on life and God while pairing it with chil-pop/lofi/rap/trending sound for everyone.

“Good Day”, emphasizes that, regardless of circumstances, every day can be a good day. When you have God, the sun, and birds chirping consistently throughout life, this track is Forrest’s reminder to everyone to take a deep breath and be grateful of our lives.

JONATHAN MCREYNOLDS

"Able"

Renowned multi-award singer-songwriter-producer and author, Jonathan McReynolds kicks-off 2024, in high-gear. Last week, Jonathan celebrated the success of his latest single, "Able," featuring Marvin Winans, as it topped the Billboard Gospel charts at #1 for the 2nd consecutive week. This fete marked Jonathan's 6th back-to-back #1 song on the charts. The track is from his current album, "My Truth," which holds strong at #20 on Billboard Magazine Gospel Charts.. It's at #2 this week.

"I am truly honored and humbled to witness the amazing success of this song," mentions Jonathan. "Funny story as to how it all came about. I was sitting in my RV after my set during the Kingdom Tour and someone told my team that Bishop Winans came to see me. He’s always been supportive of my music. I went and found him in the arena and told him that for the rest of the evening I’d just be on my RV finishing my album. I joked that I had a song for him, if he wanted to be on it, COMPLETELY expecting a “no” maybe even a “heck no”. But he said yes. And straight away, as Kirk and Mac sang in the background, with his suit, his tie, his wife and his legendary voice, Bishop got on my small RV, stepped to the mic and blew us all away. Completely unplanned. One of my favorite career moments," shares Jonathan.

This past weekend, McReynolds was honored at the 2024 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards with being the recipient of the 2024 BMI Champion Award. This accolade was presented for his exceptional artistry and contribution to the world of Contemporary Gospel music.

He also just launched a new podcast, "The Book of Jon" on Youtube, Spotify and soon to be released on Apple Podcasts. On the "Book of Jon," Jonathan reveals some of his more "human" thoughts and experiences that he has traditionally felt wouldn't be accepted from a Gospel artist.

Country music star JELLY ROLL believes 'God had a bigger purpose' for him

Country star Jelly Roll is confident his success is proof "God had a bigger purpose" for him. In an interview with Fox News Digital ahead of the 2024 CMT Music Awards, Jelly Roll explained his faith in God has been his "driving force."

"Faith was a lot of me believing it was going to work out for me," he said. "Could you imagine being a 37-year-old, unsuccessful musician when you told people that was your job?" It wasn't like something I did on the side. Like, it was my job. And I just always had faith that God had a bigger purpose for what I was trying to do," Jelly Roll said.

The musician pointed out that his life is evidence "not everybody has to make a deal with the devil in this business."

At the 2024 iHeartRadio awards earlier this month, Jelly Roll spoke about how God has influenced his career. "What does it mean when a guy like me gets the opportunity to be the new pop artist of the year at [the] iHeartRadio awards? It means that God will always use the least likely messenger with the biggest message, every single time," he said in his acceptance speech.

In Jelly Roll's interview with Fox News Digital, the country singer elaborated on being God's "least likely messenger."

"God never called the equipped. God always equipped the call," he explained. "I think that I am a living manifestation of that."

Jelly Roll, born Jason Bradley DeFord, admitted to still being "confused" about the recognition and praise he has gotten in recent years of his music career.

Jelly Roll was the night's big winner at the 2024 CMT Music Awards. He took home three awards on Sunday night, including CMT performance of the year, video of the year and male video of the year for "Need a Favor," marking the second year in a row he's nabbed male video of the year.

His latest album, 'Whitsitt Chapel,' is named after the church where he was baptized at 14 years old. The LP is a self-effacing, honest dissection of his own life story and complex relationship with religion. Whether he's imploring "somebody save me, me from myself," on "Save Me" or reflecting on what it means to show up, in "Hungover in a Church Pew," Jelly Roll's kind of religion is one of understanding, forgiveness and growth.

Today Show Anchor SAVANNAH GUTHRIE Talks About Her

#1 Christian Book, "Mostly What God Does"

Savannah Guthrie challenged herself to leave her comfort zone and “do something thrilling and scary” when she wrote her new book about faith, “Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere.”

It remains at #1 on the Christian booksellers' Top 50 list for the second straight month since its release.

The process was scary for the TODAY Show co-anchor, who is Christian, because she is, in her words, a “regular person” — not a theologian, not a religious scholar. And yet it was thrilling because her faith is an essential part of who she is.

“It’s what makes me tick. It’s what makes me joyful. It’s what helps me navigate the world and stresses and disappointments and fears,” she tells TODAY.com.

In the foreword for “Mostly What God Does,” a collection of essays and personal reflections released Feb. 20, she lays out her “road map” for the chapters that follow, based on what she describes as the six foundational aspects of a connection to God, including love, hope and purpose. She then notes that the book isn’t solely intended for those who have a firm belief in God.

PHIL ROBERTSON

Talks About His Bestselling Christian Book, “I Could Be Wrong, But I Doubt It”

No.1 New York Times Bestselling Author, highly acclaimed Podcaster and A&E’s Duck Dynasty Star Phil Robertson just released his latest book, "I Could Be Wrong, But I Doubt It: Why Jesus Is Your Greatest Hope on Earth and in Eternity." It entered this month's Christian Booksellers' top 50 list at #6.

In his new book, Robertson boldly shares why, in this crazy world, Jesus is worth following and how he is the only one who “has the answers to our questions and the solutions for our problems.”

This latest offering from Robertson, written with brother-in-law Gordon Dasher, draws from his profound experience of nearly five decades of walking with God, offering unparalleled insights into why Jesus stands as the ultimate hope for humanity.

“There are lots of people who claim to have the answers for a better life. Politicians claim they can fix our nation. Scientists and technologists trumpet the latest and greatest discoveries that’ll make everything right. Self-help gurus offer one pathway to peace after another,” notes Robertson. “But it’s no secret our world is increasingly divided and broken...we’ve got the fear, anxiety and hopelessness to prove it. Jesus alone can make good on the promise of lasting peace, real freedom and life eternal.”

DANIEL AMEN, MD

“Raising Mentally Strong Kids“

Dr. Daniel Amen's “Raising Mentally Strong Kids: How to Combine the Power of Neuroscience with Love and Logic to Grow Confident, Kind, Responsible, and Resilient Children and Young Adults" entered the Christian Booksellers' Top 50 list at #8.

Dr. Amen explains why he wanted to tackle what is missing from most parenting books—brain health! He explains the importance of special time, active listening, and "letting children make affordable mistakes." There is undeniably a youth mental health crisis, and Dr. Amen hopes that, by offering a “parenting manual” that encourages firm, kind parenting, children will have a better chance at mental strength from the very start.

Jeremy Camp

Recovering From Heart Surgery

Christian artist Jeremy Camp, who's latest hit, "These Days," is currently #15 on the CCM charts from his new album "Deeper Waters" is resting comfortably, and his family expresses their gratitude for prayers from fans as the singer recovers from heart surgery.

Camp announced suddenly on his social media on Sunday March 10 that he was going to have surgery the following day, on Monday March 11.

He divulged that he had been struggling with Atrial fibrillation or (AFib). This is an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm. (An irregular heart rhythm is called an arrhythmia.) AFib can lead to blood clots in the heart. The condition also increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications, so surgical correction needed to be taken care of right away.

We know that so many of you have been praying for Jeremy, and we are happy to share that he is recovering and doing so well that he is back out on tour right now!

He says he is still working on getting his energy fully back, but he is feeling great and excited to share all that God has been teaching him when he sees you out on the tour! He submitted this video update to fans.

Evidence for the Existence of God

By Jim Daly,

President of Focus on the Family

Do you ever wonder:

* Is there a Creator?

* If God is real, why do people suffer?

* What does Easter have to do with the existence of God?

* f God exists, why does He seem hidden or distant?

* Can we deduce anything about God from scientific evidence?

* Does our DNA reveal anything about God as a designer?

* Can God be personally experienced?

On our Focus on the Family Broadcast “Evidence for the Existence of God,” we’re talking with former atheist, Lee Strobel. He’s a best-selling author ("The Case For Christ") who currently serves as Founding Director of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University.

We all long for something bigger than us, something beyond us. As C.S. Lewis pointed out, our longing for the transcendent is a clue that something transcendent actually exists.

Lee brings hope to followers of Christ and logic and reason to seekers. Some say that God and science don’t mix. But Lee explains how scientific fact actually supports claims for the existence of a divine Creator.

Tax Tips for Procrastinators

Are you a last-minute sort of person? Do you only fill up after that little orange gas pump lights up on your dashboard? Do you wait to tackle that mountain of laundry until you have nothing clean (or even sort of clean) to wear? Hey, we’re not judging.

Procrastination is a real struggle. And if you wait until the very last minute to file your taxes, you’re not alone. About a third of Americans file their taxes in the last two weeks leading up to Tax Day.

While procrastinating on some things can lead to minor inconveniences (You need more than 3 hours of sleep to function? Really?), procrastinating on your taxes can land you in a real mess.

Some of our Facebook fans learned their lessons about tax-time procrastination the hard way. So, to keep you from making the same mistakes—and to help make tax time less stressful—we’re sharing their stories as well as our top procrastination-fighting tips to help you ace tax season.

You Have to File - Let’s get one thing straight, right off the bat: Ignoring your tax obligation won’t make it go away. Tax Day 2024 is April 15. Ready or not, the tax man cometh.

If you know you’ll owe a lot this year and you’re panicking about how you’re going to pay, it’s easy to kick the tax can down the road, but the worst thing you can do is put off filing your return day after day, week after week.

Olga M. made that mistake twice and vows never to let it happen again: “For the past two years we have filed on October 15, late. Why? Because I’ve been unorganized and haven’t prioritized. The results? I’ve wasted $150–200 in interest.”
