Dear Parishioners,

Happy Sunday! Happy Month of May! I must admit this is one of my favorite months. For many families there will be celebrations of graduations and that is true here at CTK! My prayers reach out to all who are graduating at all levels of education. Transitions are important steps in our lives where we move ahead in our journey of life. We ask God’s blessings upon those who will experience any transition in their life. We thank teachers, staff, and administrators for helping students achieve greatness to the best of their abilities. What a wonderful opportunity to help guide people in the ways of Jesus here on earth.

The month of May is dedicated to our Blessed Mother. Mother of God and Mother of the Church. She leads us and guides us to her son Jesus. If we pray to her our call to discipleship will become even stronger. Mary implores us to be faithful to prayer so that the grace of God can give us a peace beyond all human understanding.

Changing topics here I also have a passion for Indy Car and the Indianapolis 500. Many people will make a pilgrimage to the Speedway this month for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. If you are one of these individuals enjoy yourself. It is truly a part of our city events that is known throughout the world.

Please enjoy this beautiful month of May. Have a peaceful dayI

Msgr. Tony

Save the Date!

Vacation Bible School will be held early this year due to upgrades to Tuohy Hall. Mark your calendar for 9 am to noon on June 10-14, 2024.

The date was changed so we can have access to the gym before the floor renovations begin. Preschool age 4 through 8th grade students are eligible to participate in VBS and must register to receive all the snacks and fun everyday. High school and college students are encouraged to volunteer to manage the activity stations and receive service hours for your commitment. The stations are snacks, videos, crafts, music, games and bible stories. Parents are always welcome! If you have any questions, please contact Stacey Hoaglin at s.hoaglin@smsindy.org or text at (317) 902-6411.
