Your Tax Deductible Donation Can Save a Life
Meet Chloe

Dear Friends,

With just 5 more days in 2012, we will soon begin the exciting preparation of our taxes. If you are looking for additional deductions, please consider a donation to the Humane Society for Hamilton County.  Our organization proudly gives every animal their best chance for a second chance regardless of age, disability, special medical needs or breed.

Your contributions help us save the lives of animals like Chloe who came to us with more

puncture wounds and lacerations than we could count.  Both of her ears were torn and hanging in pieces.  Many of her teeth were shaved down to the gum revealing exposed roots.  You see, Chloe was used for bait.  The monsters who use dogs for fighting use "bait" dogs as practice for their fighters.  Dogs like Chloe don't fight back.  These dogs live a life of torture until they finally succumb.  But fortunately, Chloe was discovered by police and we were able to give her a chance at a new life.

You would think a dog like Chloe would be afraid of humans given what they've done to her.  But as I've said so many times before, pit bulls have a remarkable ability to forgive.  On her way to the emergency vet, the transporter said she worked her way into the front seat of the car and moved in as close to her as she could.  All she needed was some comfort.  All she's ever wanted was love.

Without your support, however, we couldn't save animals like Chloe who require extraordinary medical care.  We think Chloe deserves the chance to finally know compassion and love.

We hope you agree.

On behalf of our staff and the nearly 500 animals in our care, we wish you a safe and prosperous New Year.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Stevens
