Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost

8 September 2024

Hello Old Donation!

On Sunday, we return to our normal fall schedule! We have our regular services at 8:00am and 5:00pm, and you are invited to join us for formation at 9:30am, followed by TWO services at 10:30am, our Gathering in the Great Hall and traditional service in the Church. Make sure you note the time change for the service, it is 10:30am, no longer at 10:00am, and you can choose to be in the Church or the Great Hall.

Formation is available for all ages at 9:30am starting this Sunday. Kids through 2nd grade are invited to the nursery for formation and play. The nursery opens at 9:15am. 3rd-5th graders will gather in Coventry, Middle School is in Canterbury, and High School is in Alfriend House. This Sunday, Middle and High School will celebrate the start of formation with Sundae on Sunday. They are invited to bring an ice cream topping to share and we will provide the ice cream. Don’t worry 3rd-5th graders, you will celebrate Sundae Sunday next Sunday, September 15!

Adults are invited to gather in Tucker Hall at 9:30am where I will teach on the themes of Romans for the next three weeks. No prior knowledge of Romans is necessary, and if you miss one, come to the next! This will be a quick introduction and exploration of some of the major points found in this New Testament letter.

Tonight, our Vestry Commissions are meeting. We will have soup and salad for dinner at 6:00pm, and commission meetings will start at 6:30pm.

Tomorrow, we have our regular Eucharist at 10:00am in the church followed by Bible Study at 11:00am in Salisbury. All are welcome!

On Saturday, Historic Traditions will tour First Landing State Park from 9:30-11:30am. If you are interested in going, please contact Bob Perrine. There are a few seats left on the OldDo bus or you can meet them there.

See you soon!
