Hello Old Donation!
I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend! It's been a quiet week here as we prepare for various activities in June. Tonight, there is no Wednesday night program. Tomorrow, we invite you to our Holy Eucharist service at 10am, followed by Bible Study at 11am, where we continue our study of Romans.
This Saturday at 9:30am, join Historic Traditions for the unveiling and celebration of our new historical marker, made possible by a grant from the Pomeroy Foundation. The marker highlights Old Donation’s place on the National Register of Historic Places. There will be a short unveiling ceremony with remarks, followed by a reception on the lawn, weather permitting.
On Sunday, we have our annual Parish Picnic with a combined outdoor service at 10:30am. Bring your best side dish or dessert to share, while Parish Life provides hamburgers and hotdogs. Get ready for fun with a foam party, slip n’ slides, and various water activities. Both children and adults are invited to join in!
In the middle of May, we sent Frankie Ring to the women’s prison with dozens of cookies. On June 4, we will send Vernon Murray to the men’s prison, and he needs 125 dozen cookies. Please bag a few dozen and drop them off in the church kitchen. Remember, no nuts or dried fruit; most other varieties are acceptable.
I will miss you all this Sunday and next week as I vacation in Sandbridge, but I will return on June 9. See you soon!
