CDF Groups of Dancers
This Festival is for any level dancer between the age of 6 and 18 accompanied by their dance teacher or parent.   Participants come from all over New England, but mostly from Massachusetts to share and learn from each other in workshop classes and a performance.  Students may register individually or with their group (submission deadline is April 15th).

Your $15 registration fee entitles you to take three workshop classes and see or perform in the performance, plus allows all your family and friends to attend for FREE!

For Dance Professionals and Supporters
Teach and / or Promote What You Do

Summer Anatomy practicum during ballet

The Children's Dance Festival's mission is to enrich young dancers by meeting and collaborating with other children involved in the art of dance through workshops and performance.  We value dance of all forms in a family-friendly approach.

If you want to teach a workshop, contact Karyn for an application (submission deadline is April 15th).  The organizing committee is enlisting nine workshop teachers from various backgrounds and disciplines to bring their expertise to lead a 30 minute workshop at the Children's Festival and receive an honorarium for inspiring the next generation of dancers.

If you want to bring a group of performers, contact Jeanne for an application (submission deadline is April 15th).  The organizing committee is looking for non-competitive dance groups to share in a concert of diverse age groups, styles, and abilities.

If you want to promote your classes, products and services to the festival participants, put an ad in the program.  Send a digital copy to Jennifer;  then, send your payment to 86 Greenough St.  Brookline, Ma.02445 (submission deadline is April 15th) Not only will your ad be seen by up to  500 people at the Festival, it will be seen again and again as this program is often saved as a souvenir. Affordable rates: $90 whole page, $50 half page, $30 quarter page or business card size.  Call today!

Big and Litle Dancers together
Like working with energetic people?  Feel that dance for children is a worthwhile endeavor? Want to network with other experts on children's dance? Join us!  Help with many small tasks that keep the whole day fun for everyone.  The Festival needs ushers, program folder, children's supervisors, workshop timers, and so much more!  Contact Erica to find out more.  Lend a hand and leave with a full spirit!

Participation in the Children's Dance Festival brings many benefits:

    program recognition and exposure

the opportunity to network with other teachers

a non-competitive performing opportunity for your students

young dancers meeting others who dance seriously

a chance for kids to work briefly with other teachers

participation in a diverse concert of dances before a large audience of supportive peers and adults.

Older dancers will have their own workshop and be inspiring role models for younger students.  The day is a lot of fun and the process is always enjoyable and fairly easy to accomplish well!

Due to the size of the space, we must limit the number of participants. Groups may not send more than 12-15 dancers.  Groups that are not part of the Organizing Committee will be selected based on variety: technical style, age of dancers, material, etc.  Please send in the CDF application. In a major change this year, we will not charge audience members for attending the concert, but will fund the festival through charging each participant $15. The concert will be free of charge. No child will be turned away for lack of ability to pay.
Deadline is April 1. No late applications will be accepted.

  Thanks!

We look forward to meeting you!!
