Sermon:
"We're Not Afraid, Any More"
Sacred Text:
1 Samuel 17:4-11
Worship (in-person and online):
10:30 AM
| |
It is easy when faced with challenging times and circumstances to cower in fear. Sometimes we may feel hopeless that we can conquer our giant-size problems that come our way to mock us. However simply hoping that someone will do something so the situation changes in not a very good solution. Perhaps, God is waiting for you- a David or a Dorothy- to challenge the giants in life, encourage the team, and bring about a great victory for Christ’s church.
Our church, our denomination has many giants set against us that would like us to cede our community to hedonism, atheism, and cynicism. We can make the difference if we arrive with faith to conquer our fear.
~Rev. Kevin

From Equality Florida:
Tell Visit Florida We Want Sunshine For All!
Ron DeSantis is making it clear: If you're LGBTQ, you're not welcome in Florida. VisitFlorida.com, the state's official tourism website, has removed its LGBTQ travel page — sending a stark message to all LGBTQ travelers: "Stay out."
This isn't just a petty move — it's part of a calculated campaign to push LGBTQ people out of public life in Florida. When questioned about why they did this, Visit Florida officials confirmed that this removal was done to align with DeSantis' hostile policies and rhetoric toward the LGBTQ community. Send the Visit Florida board members a message today and tell them we deserve a Florida where everyone—no matter who they are—can enjoy the sunshine.
