I saw a meme yesterday that said, I’m still processing 2020 and we’re almost in 2022. How in the world did that happen? As we continue to figure out the world around us, know that you are constantly in my prayers.

I also want to send out into this world the wonderful position openings for congregations in our synod. Who do you know that might be feeling a call to this ministry and this synod?

The Extravaganza (aka 'The E!') is the ELCA Youth Ministry Network’s annual ministry conference for adults who work with children, youth and family ministry.

Registration is now open for the 2022 Extravaganza on February 11-14!

Join us onsite or online to be renewed and equipped for ministry as you network and learn from leaders across the ELCA.

The LYO Board is excited to be preparing for the 2022 LYO Assembly!

We are tentatively planning to gather in-person for LYO as usual at Embassy Suites in Greensboro provided transmission rates are low enough to do an overnight event with indoor dining from 7:00pm on Friday, February 25 to 11:00 am on Sunday, February 27.

In the event that transmission rates are still too high, this event will be held on Saturday, February 26 at several regional locations where multiple congregations can gather in-person for the day to experience a livestreamed assembly together.

COVID Protocols for LYO Assembly

Proof of full Covid vaccination will be required for youth and adults. Details on how to obtain the certified copy of your Covid vaccination are listed below. Covid vaccination certification is required by Monday, February 21. A negative Covid test is also encouraged prior to leaving your congregation but will not be a substitute for full Covid vaccination.
