During
Sunfest
this year, we introduced the
Barn Quilt Trail Program
. A quilt trail is a series of painted wood quilt squares installed at various locations along a route, emphasizing significant family history, architecture and/or aesthetic landscapes. You can create one for your barn, house, business and even your mailbox.
We have gotten a lot of interest and the committee is planning on setting up some workshops to create these together.
We have patterns to choose from or you can create your own.

Friends of The Berthoud Community Library District

Help us in congratulating the Friends of the Berthoud Community Library District on their ribbon cutting. They did their ribbon cutting on the first day of the library's summer reading program. Bonnie Sheehan shared with us many things that they do to support the library. But, mainly, The Friends of the Library raise funds to help support library programs. All money raised directly supports the library. The luncheon at their ribbon cutting was provided by the Friends. Amie Pilla, CEO of the Berthoud Community Library District shared about the summer reading program. If you would like to join the Friends of the Library, their meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every other month at the library at 3:00 pm. You can pick up an application there as well. We also want to thank the chamber members that came out on a Saturday during Memorial Day weekend to help them celebrate. Cindy Leach with the Town of Berthoud won the door prize and got to go "shopping" for books to put in her new bag she won!

B Sweet Cupcakes
on their ribbon cutting. This is their 7th Business Anniversary at this location (425 East 4th Street, Loveland). Dana and her mother, Sue, treated us to cupcake pairings for the ribbon cutting. They educated us on how what we drink with each cupcake brings out the flavor. And, we agreed. They have 120 flavors of cupcakes (not every day). You can walk in six days a week and purchase what they’ve baked for the day. Or you can special order. When you order far enough in advance, you can pick the flavor, frostings and even the wrapper. “B” Sweet makes mini as well as full-size cupcakes and scones. And, they also make 40 flavors of cheesecakes (not every day). They make cupcakes for all occasions: weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. There is even a private room on location to host an event (breakfast meetings or parties). John Beck is one of our newer Ambassadors. But, John is not new at promoting the chamber or volunteering. He already has been attending many of the chamber functions and volunteers at our monthly events as well as at many of our major events. John is retired but has always been involved in the Berthoud community. He has been a chamber member since March of 2015. By becoming an ambassador, he is now on several major event committees as well as continuing to serve as he's always done. Help us in congratulating John for being Ambassador of the month for March.

Becky is on the Berthoud Day Committee and is co-chair of the Berthoud Sunfest Committee. She attends the ambassador meetings as well as many of our other chamber events. Congratulations to Cindy Leach for being voted Ambassador of the Month by her peers. Cindy was Co-Chair on the Berthoud Day Committee. She also volunteers at almost every luncheon. She sets up and helps tear down. Cindy also volunteers to take pictures at events so we have them to share on Facebook. Congratulations to Josh Jones with Jones Excavating & Plumbing LTD here in Berthoud. Josh has been so helpful in loading trucks to move our snow during Snowfest each year. If he's not moving the snow, he's loading the snow into the cylinders so we can stomp them before they get carved by our artists. Josh also does a great job on putting historical information about Berthoud up on the Berthoud Community Facebook page. Thank you, Josh, for all you do.
