The City of Annapolis has a parade and fireworks in store for visitors in the downtown area for the evening.

Farragut Farmers Market pops up on Summer Sundays at the northwest corner of the Navy-Marine Corps stadium parking lot. Vendors include local farmers, bakers, and craftspeople.


CCM will be rotating with other local museums to bring hands-on activities for children.


Our dates this month are July 2, 16, and 30. The weekly market runs through August 13, 9 am-1 pm.

"Let the Sun Shine In!" Help create a new indoor-outdoor exhibit at CCM on Saturday and Sunday, July 22 and 23, 1-5 pm. Powering Pollinators incorporates Solar Power and information about the critters that help flowers produce fruits and veggies.

Belgian artist, Alexandre Dang has been producing installations of solar powered dancing flowers (and other images) to bring attention and inspire action for using this renewable source of energy worldwide.

Our kick off event for the new exhibit at CCM will feature live music, light refreshments, hands-on science activities, and the chance to decorate your own dancing pollinator or flower. Take it home or leave it for the exhibit!

Admission is $25 per family which includes one solar-powered gizmo.

Additional gizmos can be purchased at the event (or at your next visit to CCM while supplies last) for $20 each.

Creek Critters
Weekly Nature Walk
Explore the wildlife in the park around the museum with a guided stroll on the East Trail through woodlands and past wetlands to take in a scenic view of the creek. The West Trail meanders past the ponds and takes you to the Truck Pit. Our guide will tailor the walk to your children's interests and pace. Presented in Spanish upon request. Please let us know you are coming by registering here. Free for CCM members.

Cost is $5 per person for just the nature walk, or $8 for museum admission.

Free with admission / membership. Mondays at 10:30 am.

Chesapeake Children's Museum will provide crafts and activities for children at the August 5 outdoor concert at Quiet Waters Park.

The Clones of Funk will have everyone on the dance floor from 6-8 pm.

Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for those who just want to soak in the vibe.
