NOTES FROM LORI
Last month flew by at OffiCenters! We celebrated our 41st year of serving the Twin Cities business community, had the largest Slice of Woodbury attendance since pre COVID-19, and on June 15, most of our team members laced up their sneakers for the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund 5K. My WALK Awesome Team is pictured above and I want to thank them for coming out to support our OneCommunity Member. By the way, the Randy Shaver Golf Classic is being held on August 1 and we are looking for golfers to represent OffiCenters. The tournament is a double shotgun, with morning play beginning at 7:30AM and afternoon at 2:00PM. The play is best ball scramble. If you’d like to golf, send an email to: lea.spiess@officenters.com.
July, one of our longest, and hottest months, marks the start of the second half of 2022. Traditionally, Minnesotans are July vacation seekers and takers. That being said, we hang up our “gone fishing” sign and pause our networking events this month to let everyone enjoy the summer. This also gives us extra time to gear up for August, CoWorking Month where we're planning an action-packed calendar with a variety of events. Some new ones, some oldies, but goodies, and maybe a few surprises?!? As my team continues to focus on providing members with Work Awesome support, let us know if we can help with your r&r by helping with mail, phones or any other administrative tasks while you are away. We've got you covered.
We're proud to be the largest coworking space in the Twin Cities and honored that you continue to refer your friends and family to OffiCenters. But, our real strength lies within our Work Awesome Members. I'm delighted to say that over 90% of our vendors are a part of our community. And, when possible, I encourage you to shop within our group as well. We're stronger together.
OffiCenters will be closed on Monday, July 4. Go out and enjoy the great weather and have some fun in the sun. Be safe heading into the long weekend. I'm planning to celebrate with food, family, friends and fireworks. Every year, I have a childhood memory of a lady in the neighborhood calling out to my dad, “Happy 4th of July, Billy!” It always makes Lea and I smile. So, in memory of him, Happy 4th of July!

Taco Bell is redefining drive-thrus as consumers know it with one of its most innovative designs yet. Coined “Taco Bell Defy,” the first of its kind restaurant located in Brooklyn Park, MN opened in June with a four lane drive-thru. The two-story restaurant delivers innovative technology and design, like a proprietary vertical lift to transport iconic craveable menu items straight from the kitchen to fans. Needless to say, this is 'nacho" average Taco Bell. MORE HERE

Welcome to the Neighborhood!
The good news just keeps coming for the North Loop’s restaurant scene. A brand new Latin Caribbean tapas restaurant and bar, Guacaya Bistreaux recently opened at 337 North Washington Avenue, on the ground floor of Dock Suite Flats. The 2,800 SQFT offers seating for about 90 people inside and as many as 60 outside. It is co-owned by North Loop resident Pedro Wolcott who promises to add some New Orleans creole and cajun influences to his tapas and shareable entrees. For hours and complete menu CLICK HERE.

G7 Networking With Purpose
Over years of networking, G7 has discovered a tit-for-tat culture happening among many referral groups, where people are often reduced as a means to an end. And so, as a movement of Christians, they set out to do business networking with a higher purpose, while keeping it open to peoples of all spiritual affiliations. G7 Networking subverts the typical, transactional way of networking through a referral system centered on trust. Through local chapters of business professionals, G7 drives referrals while facilitating personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
