Dear MCHS Community,

With heartfelt joy and profound gratitude, I share some exciting news about our organization and me, personally. After careful consideration and reflection, I retired as the Executive Director of Memory Care Home Solutions on June 1st. While this news may surprise some of you, know that I made this decision over months and with utmost confidence in the future of this organization and the exceptional leadership at the helm.

As I reflect on the accomplishments we’ve achieved together over the past two decades, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and love. In retirement, my commitment to MCHS remains as steadfast as ever. I have joined the board of the newly formed Missouri Council on Aging, where I will continue to be a tireless advocate for people living with dementia and their families. Below, we share with you the latest highlights at Memory Care Home Solutions.
What's new at MCHS!
Retirement Celebration
Memory Care Home Solutions hosted a truly memorable retirement party for me on Thursday, June 15th at the Mildred Lane Kemper Arts Museum on Washington University’s campus. The event served as a fitting tribute to close this chapter and enter a new one at my alma mater.
To maximize efficiency, demonstrate value, and make an impact in the lives of people living with dementia and their families, MCHS seeks meaningful partnerships, expands evidence-based programming, and helps families stay together longer.
To fulfill MCHS's exciting program vision, we've recruited fresh talent, introduced the Baron Family Giving Society, and hosted awesome events to connect with all of you. We've also celebrated staff milestones and new additions, all while fostering a culture of philanthropy!
Welcome to our New Executive Director
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Jill Cigliana as the next Executive Director of MCHS. With her wealth of experience as a clinical leader in the development of innovative healthcare programs, Jill has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of family-centered dementia care. She understands that caregivers are often stressed, overwhelmed, and in desperate need of support, and she recognizes MCHS as their lifeline.
As I pass the torch to Jill Cigliana, I do so with confidence in her ability to take MCHS into an even more radiant and impactful future. Jill's clinical expertise, coupled with her profound understanding of our mission and values, make her the perfect leader to guide this organization going forward. She played an integral role in shaping our long-term strategic plan, which emphasizes innovative healthcare solutions for aging in place. I am secure in the knowledge that Jill will build upon the exceptional foundation we established, ensuring that MCHS continues to shine as a beacon of hope and support for individuals living with dementia and their families.

I thank you for the extraordinary support, and meaningful friendships that have marked our shared journey. Together, we have forged a legacy of compassion and care that will forever shine brightly. It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the Founder and Executive Director of MCHS, and I am filled with immeasurable gratitude for this chapter in my life.

None of this would be possible without your incredible support.

Stay tuned to receive updates from Jill, our new Executive Director, that will share how you, the MCHS team, and broader MCHS community continue to serve families with growing impact.

With excitement and deepest appreciation,
Lisa Baron, JD
