Learn about the impact of migration through the Americas on health, environment and animal life with a special emphasis on the Darien Gap of Panama. There will be international speakers from PAHO, CDC, IOM, etc.

#7205 Health Hazard Awareness

This course covers common health hazards that are encountered in the workplace. Upon course completion students will have the ability to understand common health hazards in the workplace and methods for controlling and abatement of these hazards.

Latin American and Caribbean Culture Festival

The Latin American and Caribbean Culture Festival celebrates the multicultural diversity of the Latin and Caribbean community. There will be many different student organizations tabling with games and activities, as well as student organization performances and a giveaway that will be announced during the event!

OSHA’s Suicide Prevention in the Workplace with focus on the Construction Industry

This OSHA webinar highlights a pivotal moment as workplaces have begun to shift their perspective on suicide from "not our business" to a mindset that makes suicide prevention a health and safety priority.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training

This course includes six sections: disaster preparedness, fire safety, hazardous material, terrorist incidents, disaster medical operations and search and rescue. All classes, practical exercises and hands-on skills will be taught in person. To become a CERT member, one must complete the classroom training being offered to USF students, staff, faculty and others in the community.

Developing a Heat Illness and Injury Prevention Plan

This webinar will be presented by COPH Professor Dr. Thomas E. Bernard. His research centers around heat stress. The webinar will reflect his research on heat stress evaluation and his experiences with developing heat stress management programs.

OSHA Training Guidelines for Safe Patient Handling

This course covers OSHA ergonomic guidelines for safe patient handling and methods to protect workers in all health care settings. Using OSHA's Ergonomics Guidelines for Nursing Homes as a basis for any healthcare facility, this course focuses on analyzing and identifying ergonomic hazards and practical solutions to address these issues.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask specific questions related to resume and cover letter development.
