Announcing our Fall Recycling Event!
|
Our Spring Recycling Drive-Thru event this year was a huge success! We had 100 vehicles drop off recyclable items, which amounted to 6,246 pounds of paper, 6,742 pounds of paint, 2,466 pounds of electronics, lamps, and batteries, 459 pounds of aerosol cans, 55 gallons of gasoline, and over three dozen bags of clothing. Now we want to continue the good work by hosting a Fall Recycling Drive-Thru on Oct. 14!
Our fall event will offer residents the chance to safely dispose of the same wide variety of items as before, using the same quick and easy drive-thru process. We'll be sharing more information as the date for the event approaches, but if you'd like to start gathering your recyclables or become a sponsor, click the buttons below to learn more!

Check Out our Playground Improvements!
|
The playground at Palmetto Bay Park is looking better than ever as it gets a new makeover! During recent renovations, a toddler zone was added along with new equipment for climbing. Crews will be adding the finishing touches over the next few weeks by installing several new swings, patching and repairing the rubberized surfacing, and redesigning the perimeter fence.
You can follow our improvements by visiting our website linked below. We appreciate your patience as we make our #villageofparks even better!

Last Chance to Take our Parks & Rec Survey
|
Our Parks & Recreation Department is always working to provide the best amenities, services, and programs for our residents. We've created a two-minute survey for residents to give feedback on our educational and recreational programming, and your opinions will allow us to enhance our offerings to the community.
The survey ends on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, so log in now and make your voice heard!

Palmetto Bay Offers a New Resource for Residents
|
We’re excited to announce a new resource to keep residents informed about development projects in the Village that do not require a public hearing -- the Current Administrative Site Plans web page.
Every time we receive an application for administrative site plan review or an administrative variance, it will be uploaded to the page within days of receipt. Applications, site plans, and any other pertinent information will be shared via the web page. We’ll also add memos from staff as they’re completed so the entire review process may be followed.
If you have questions or comments, feel free to contact Community & Economic Development Director Heidi Siegel at 305-259-1276 or by email at hsiegel@palmettobay-fl.gov

Open Records Requests are Getting Much Easier!
|
Palmetto Bay is improving transparency by making public records easily accessible to our residents. As of Aug. 31, requestors of public information will now have the option of submitting Open Records Requests through an online form. While other methods for submitting requests are still available, the Village is excited to be able to offer a more convenient option. The new system is scheduled to go live soon, so watch our social media sites and home webpage for more updates!
