A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT & CEO

Greetings,

As we head into the fall, it is promising to be full of exciting events and prospect activity in the pipeline.

Last week, I attended the Industrial Asset Management Council Fall Forum in Boise, interacting with c-suite decision makers and site selection consultants and heard more recurring themes: the need for site readiness and access to talent are TOP issues that are not going away. Our team also spoke at and assisted with the 2023 New Mexico Governor's Statewide Conference in Economic Development, a welcome re-invigoration of engaging discussions.

This week I'm in Dallas at the annual conference for the International Economic Development Council with more than 1,500 economic development professionals in attendance. Congratulations to the City of Albuquerque on well deserved recognition via IEDC awards. In addition, I am pleased and humbled to share that I will be serving in 2024 as IEDC's next Board of Directors Secretary/Treasurer.

In the upcoming weeks we will be hosting our Fall 2023 Site Selectors Familiarization Tour with several exciting stops, and we will be leading a delegation attending the MedTech Conference in California with partners from across the region and state.

Tomorrow AREA will be hosting its Quarterly Event on Bioscience Development, so please if you have not registered, do so today! We have an incredible group of speakers representing critical healthcare facilities in the region.
