TeamSmile kicked off the 2020 school year by donating 1,000 bags filled with toothpaste, a toothbrush, and floss to the Washington Football Charitable Foundation.
The Washington Football Charitable Foundation hosts an annual back to school fair, but this year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, opted for a drive-thru version.
They were able to hand out 1,000 supply kits. These kits contained various essential school supplies, PPE, dental hygiene items and a resource guide, a haircut voucher, an information guide for finding vision resources for children and a voucher for uninsured children to receive two free prescription eyeglasses. Children were also given an individualized healthy snack package.

TeamSmile has partnered up with T-Shotz in Kansas City to host a Fundraiser on Friday, October 23, 2020,
from 6pm to 9pm!
Cost: $125 per person
$650 per bay of six participants
Maximum of 66 participants, so make sure to register soon
Cost includes golf and all you can eat and drink from 6:00pm– 9:00pm
Live broadcast will take place from 7:30pm – 9:00pm from T-Shotz

Meet John McCarthy
Executive Director
|

|
John McCarthy started as the Executive Director of TeamSmile on May 1, 2017. During this time, TeamSmile has seen significant growth, tripling revenues and almost doubling the number of programs and the number of children that we serve. Now, McCarthy is working with the Board of Directors to navigate TeamSmile through the COVID-19 pandemic.
“TeamSmile is a wonderful charity that impacts thousands of children throughout the country. The concept is brilliant, and it works in a highly effective manner. I am very fortunate to be in a position whereby I can work with a staff and a great number of volunteers to make a positive impact through the TeamSmile model. It’s a thrill to watch the pieces come together and witness the experience that we’re able to create for children in need. Through my TeamSmile journey, I have met so many wonderful people, and I am grateful.” -John McCarthy
McCarthy enjoys spending time with his wife (Christine), son (Sean) and puppies (Rudy and Buster), and he enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, reading, writing, movies, documentaries and many adventures. McCarthy is a life-long learner that is passionate about people.
