In these hot summer months, the new TWSBI Diamond 580AL Iceberg Blue Fountain Pen is refreshing like an ice cold drink. This pen is so subtle that you’re gonna love it. I specifically like how the matte blue finish matches the translucent cap and body.
First of all, the TWSBI Diamond 580AL Iceberg Blue Fountain Pen has an aluminum machined grip, connector, and piston rod. The 580ALR has a subtle matte finish, and circular engravings on the grip section and cap. The blue trim is easily visible on the grip section, cap rings, and piston mechanism.
Secondly, the idea behind the TWSBI Diamond 530, 540, and 580 was to go back to basics and capture the simplicity and elegance of traditional writing instruments. Notably, in recent years, the development and modernization of writing instruments has resulted in traditional writing instruments, such as fountain pens, falling into obscurity. It was TWSBI's goal to bring the past back to life by creating a traditional fountain pen that even modern day society can appreciate.
