Dear JA Staff Alumni Network Member,
I want to inform you of some staffing changes at JA USA. JA, like all organizations and businesses has been challenged by the ever-changing environment brought on by the pandemic. They are focused on changing their methods of delivering materials and supporting areas; Special events like the NLC have been cancelled and they are diligently working to manage costs. Unfortunately, in order to maintain financial stability they have found it necessary to reduce head count and announced to Area offices on Wednesday a reduction in force. This reduction is being accomplished by a combination of freezing open positions, eliminating some contractor positions and releasing some full-time staff.
As you might expect, this has been a painful decision for all involved. I am not including the names of the staff impacted to respect their privacy. I did want to alert you to the changes, however, in the event that you are in regular contact with members of the national team. I am sure they will reach out to you when they are ready to do so.
