V-28 Bay

Talk about versatility. Seven days ago, we showed you hull No. 2 of the Valhalla Boatworks (VBW) V-28 Bay– a Valhalla Grey hardtop model with twin Mercury V8 300s rigged to fish in the Florida Keys. Now the spotlight belongs to hull No.1, a V-28 without a hardtop and powered by a single Mercury 400-hp Verado. This Valhalla will be used as a demo boat in South Jersey by the VBW dealer Valhalla Boat Sales (VBS), beginning with the Valhalla Flounder Open this Saturday, May 11, out of New Gretna.

The VBS demo team will be fishing for anything and everything with the V-28 – flounder, striped bass, tautog, weakfish, sheepshead and more. The V-28 Bay draws only 18”, allowing you to fish in shallow-water bays or run on calm days to near-shore reefs. 

Featuring white hull sides matched with a Nardo Grey bottom and faux teak toe rail, this demo is outfitted with premium equipment and fishing accessories, including a Minn Kota Riptide Instinct QUEST trolling motor and two Blade Edition Power-Poles.

This boat has unmatched Valhalla engineering, build quality and fishability, with three live wells (totaling 78 gallons) and a Hooker sea chest system, in-deck fish boxes with overboard discharge and multiple rod holders.

Twin 16” Simrad multifunctional displays are flush mounted in the recessed black acrylic dash with a row of Bocatech switches below. She features an optional teak helm pod and carbon fiber wheel. Port and starboard paddle controls on the steering column are standard; they allow you to adjust engine trim and jack plate height without taking your hands off the wheel.

The forward casting platform is immense, and it hides aft rod storage boxes as well as forward boxes that can be used for rods, fish boxes or general storage. The centerline compartment can be used for dry storage. The 28-gallon live well is in the centerline step-up to the casting platform, and the console seat holds an insulated drink box.

The hull’s integrated engine setback maximizes deck space and increases buoyancy while also optimizing maneuverability and efficiency. For more information about the V-28 Bay boat, please contact your authorized Valhalla Boatworks dealer.
