WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION

MONDAY, MAY 6, 2024*

*DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

NOTICE ISSUED: Thursday, May 2, 2024

Temporary disruptions to water services between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. for approximately 8 hours to facilitate the removal of an existing hydrant and installation of a new hydrant at Howard Street and Pine Street.

During this time, you may experience no water, discolored water, or reduced water pressure. Discolored water can be remedied by running cold water in one faucet until clear.

Throughout the day, updates on the water service work will be provided on the project website at champlainparkway.com.

Additional and important information for landlords and property managers:

Landlords and property managers will need to do the following:

  1. Identify if they have an apartment building that has a sprinkler system with no fire alarm system. Definition of a fire alarm system is as follows: A system that monitors all common areas or all areas of a building and notifies an offsite monitoring company of a fire.
  2. If a sprinkled apartment building does not have a fire alarm system, then a fire watch will be required.
  3. Do a building check to make sure everything is working. Exit signs and emergency lighting work, egress doors work, exit pathways and hallways are clear of any obstructions.

For urgent needs, contact Water Resources at 802-863-4501. Someone will be available to assist you 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.
