"Clean energy is bipartisan and pro-job"

On yesterday's CICE webinar, an expert panel discussed how chambers and economic development leaders can talk "grid reliability" and why it's essential to regional competitiveness. Bryn Baker from the Clean Energy Buyers Association cited research that says demand for electric is going up, to the tune of 38 gigawatts of new electric over the next half-decade: "That's like adding four New York Cities."

Panelists also touched on a number of topics, including:

  • factors that make a region attractive for investment,
  • how companies evaluate regions for clean and reliable local power, and
  • why chambers should engage with lawmakers or state and local government officials to encourage responsible policy.

The full webinar recording is available online to watch.
