Coeur Alaska Kensington Mine

Steve will be presenting an update on Coeur Alaska’s Kensington Mine. The Kensington Mine is an underground hard rock gold mine located 45-miles north-northwest of Juneau in the historic Berners Bay Mining District. Coeur Alaska is the second largest private employer in the City and Borough of Juneau with approximately 380 full-time employees.

Protect Juneau's Future

A recent proposal aims to restrict cruise tourism, including a ban on large cruise ships on Saturdays and on July 4th starting in 2025. Running for Local Office Free Workshop May 11

2023 Cruise Ship Spending Report

The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) contracted with McKinley Research Group to estimate the economic impacts of the cruise industry in 2023. Sources included surveys of passengers and crew members in summer 2023; local purchasing data provided by cruise lines; cruiserelated revenues provided by the City and Borough of Juneau; and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, among other sources.
