CBJ Property Assessment and

Petition for Review

CBJ sent out property assessment notices on March 1. The 30-day period to file a petition for review ends Monday, April 1, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Property owners who have errors or omissions regarding their assessed values must advise the Assessor in writing by this deadline. If you have questions or concerns about your valuation, please contact the Assessor Office at 907-586-5215 or Assessor.Office@juneau.org for assistance.

A follow-up session going into greater detail on how the appeal process works will be held on Friday, March 15, at 12 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers. All are welcome to attend.

Marine Passenger Fee Funding Public Comment Open

The public has until March 25 to comment on the City Manager's recommendations for how to allocate cruise ship Marine Passenger Fee (MPF) proceeds in the upcoming year. Read the draft proposal on the MPF website.


The draft proposal makes recommendations on expenditure of funds that come from the $5 City and Borough of Juneau Marine Passenger Fee, $3 CBJ Port Development Fee, and the $5 State of Alaska Commercial Passenger Vessel Fee.


Submit comments on the recommendations by Monday, March 25, 2024 to CBJ Tourism Manager Alexandra Pierce by email to alexandra.pierce@juneau.gov or by mail to the City Manager’s Office, attn: Alexandra Pierce, 155 S. Seward Street, Juneau, Alaska 99801.

Luncheon Punch Cards Available

The Chamber is offering Luncheon Punch Cards once again. Punch Cards are $250 and are valid for 1 year after purchase. Each card includes 10 luncheons. While registration for the weekly lunch is still required, punch cards offer a more convenient method of payment, and can be purchased for an individual or used by the whole office. After purchasing a punch card, simply choose Punch Card when registering for a luncheon.
