Experience the Manistee Area Leadership Program, thoroughly immersing yourself in Manistee County, and become the key to making a difference in the community and workplace. 

The Leadership Program is presented by the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce and this year’s many generous sponsors, including Filer Credit Union, Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital, West Shore Community College, Bob's Roofing Company, Inc., Republic Services, Peterson McGregor Insurance, Accident Fund, and Packaging Corporation of America.

Cohort meetings take place once a month from September through May, and finally, put your skills to the test during the Big Day of Serving community service project. The comradery will build positive lessons and relationships while benefiting the community today and in the future. You make the Big Day of Serving possible.  

6PM Hospitality Partners LLC, Pioneer Construction, City of Manistee, Manistee Tourism, our State of Michigan legislators, investors in the project, our board of directors, and many community members and partners joined us in cutting the ribbon on a catalyzing economic development project, bringing investment for our area.

The beautiful hotel, restaurant, and beach bar are now open to the public. The fifth-floor restaurant has 270° views of Lake, Michigan, the beach, harbor, downtown, and the dunes to the north. The beach bar will offer a great venue for beverages and sunsets.

The Hilton branded project will raise the visibility of our area for future guests and tourists and should help build a sustainable and resilient, hospitality sector, along with our other amazing businesses.

The City of Manistee and the Downtown Development Authority are currently in the process of developing a Streetscape Design Plan for the River Street corridor in downtown Manistee.

Please join us for the second series of meetings on August 9^th to review the initial project vision, goals, emerging themes, and conceptual ideas that the consultant team has been developing based on your input received through in-person meetings and a digital questionnaire earlier this spring.

Through this interactive meeting and discussion, we will continue to work toward promoting an inviting and cohesive experience that activates downtown Manistee and provides opportunities for continued placemaking and pedestrian-friendly experiences for all.
