Giving Tuesday - Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital

Giving Tuesday, which takes place each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and Black Friday, is our chance to celebrate philanthropy and the impact it's had on healthcare in northern Michigan.

Every dollar donated to Manistee Hospital will support the purchase of a new ENT navigation system, making it possible to keep procedures local for our patients.

Victorian Sleighbell Parade & Old Christmas Weekend

Presented by West Shore Bank.

Manistee’s Old Christmas Weekend is filled with charming events, including the Festival of Trees, craft bazaar, 5K race, and the Victorian Sleighbell Parade. The highlights of the parade are draft horses pulling a 30-foot Christmas tree down River Street followed by a beautiful display of luminaries, caroling, and the lighting of the tree.

Don't forget to enjoy Sleighbell at the Ramsdell this season!

Events include “A WSCC Holiday Rock Spectacular Reunion" (in partnership with the West Shore Community College Performing Arts Series), 30-minute historical tours, an art exhibit featuring 6x6 canvases painted by our local community of artists, a period-theme party hosted by the Lakeside Club, and the Chamber of Commerce’s UnTapped event on Thursday, December 1. Don’t miss out on the magic of traditional Christmas shopping – and the small businesses across the county have you covered. Small businesses provide over 60% of all new jobs and they are the first people we call upon to support local initiatives, nonprofits, and youth activities.

"We are supporting our neighbors, our friends, and our community when you shop locally," said Jalie Mowry Lipa, owner of Revive and Refresh Aesthetics.
