Chamber members filled the room to learn what’s changed in human resources in 2024 at our Small Business Council’s first Lunch and Learn of the year. Panel experts included Gretchen McKinney, SHRM-SCP, SPHR; E. Fred Preis Jr., UNO Professor and Attorney with Breazeale, Sachse and Wilson; and Christopher Ford, SHRM-SCP, Vice President of Human Resources with St. Tammany Health System. Topics discussed included the impact of artificial intelligence on human resources, the legalities of getting employees back to work and silent firing—real or not.
